This mom and pop hotel is truly a blast from the past. With tales of John Wayne and other cowboy film stars of yesteryear, this motel more than makes up for its lack of remodel with history and charm. Our room was huge and so inexpensive and very conveniently located on our days hiking Arches NP.

My family and I have stayed here many times. It is located on a residential street about four blocks from the hustle and bustle of the main street. Yes, it is old, a classic motel from the fifties and sixties. Things show their age. The cost is about half of the main street places. But, it is clean, comfortable and... More

Headed to Moab after Bryce, Zion and Canyonlands Naional Parks just to see. Lonely Planet guide raved about Moab. Very busy so we drove around back streets looking for something quieter. This unassuming motel is very neat and tidy with microwave and coffee machine. They have breakfast included down in foyer then take it back to your room. Heated pool,... More

We had to stand in the cluttered, small lobby with 8 other guests eating our "free" breakfast of boxed cereal, pre-loaded pancakes on individual paper plates stacked on top of each other, and Little Debbie packaged danishes. It was a miracle that we finally got to sleep amidst the depressing carpet, drapes, bedspread. The bathroom light and the loud fan... More

We enjoyed our 2-night stay at the Apache Motel. It’s quiet because it’s about 2 blocks from the main street of Moab, and it was clean and comfortable. Some of the furniture in our room was a bit beat up, but that didn’t bother us at all. After all, it’s an older property, on the National Register of Historic Places.... More

We choose this motel for the price as most places in Moab (in my opinion) are over priced. This is a great location just off the main drag and convenient for visiting Canyon Lands (Both Islands in the Sky and Needles), Arches, and Dead Horse Point State Park. The motel is a bit dated, but was clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi... More

We recently stayed here for 4 nights. It was our "base camp" for Arches and Canyonlands. Based on other reviews I knew that the motel's description of being modern was false. We paid $400 for the 4 nights including tax, so very economical by Moab standards. The positives are that it is off the loud and crazy of the Main... More

My wife and I spent three nights at Apache Motel Plusses -inexpensive and 4 blocks from main drag Minuses - dated and worn, hole under the bathroom sink, poor carpet patch at old AC unit, worn chairs, TV from 2000, no in room coffee, breakfast in main lobby with cereal in Tupperware, pancakes on paper plates with no area to... We chose the Apache Motel for a few reasons- we wanted an economical place to stay, so we could spend our money doing things while we were here. Also, the thought that this is where John Wayne stayed while he was in the area making movies was cool!. The website describes "modern, deluxe rooms"- I think that is a pretty... More
