Checked in at 7p. Checked out 5 minutes later. Bad, bad smell. Tiny bugs flying in room. Moth fighting for life on floor just below moth eaten curtain. Floors stained. Room dark and dingy with holes in bathroom wall. I could go on, but was only in for 5 minutes. Afraid to plAce luggage in room. Cheap but no bargain....No... More

The Apache motel is the best-kept secret in Moab. We will never stay anyplace else. They don’t list on the typical reservation sites and don’t even have online reservations. You just have to call them. We stayed in the John Wayne suite. 2 large rooms for a great price. It’s a few blocks off the main street, so it’s close... More

The promotion for the Apache motel boasts that John Wayne slept there. That was a long time ago ane there weren't many motels to choose from. Now Moab is a busy tourist town with a lot of choices. If you are looking for a basic, budget motel, this might be the place. But, expect thread bare sheets, tiny towels and... More

The good: * reasonable cost (for Moab) * large room, comfortable beds * away from Main St. noise * only 4 block walk to Main St. * our room had both mini-fridge and microwave. The not-so-good: * old; behind on many minor maintenance issues * internet service has occasional glitches Note: due to season, we needed neither heat nor a/c... More

I've passed through Moab many times in the last 20 or 30 years from childhood to now and always wanted to stay at this motel so finally me and my friends stopped by on a road trip! We were excited to know that not only were there vacancies (the previous visit was sold out) but the John Wayne Suite was... More

We stayed in the room which the manager claimed John Wayne wife and kids stayed there before. The funitures do look like from John Wayne era. The beds are good and firm but the kitchen cutlery and pots are incompleted. Anyway we had a good sleep!

If You are MTB rider and only need one or two nights to spend - then really reasonable place. Clean, price was good. Breakfast - didn 't used that part, only cofee.

We stayed at the Apache Motel this October and last. This year we stayed for 8 days. The Apache was built in the 30's or 40's and is now a "historic site" (that's the reason the owners give for not updating the place!). It's four blocks from the main street, but if you like to walk or bike, it's very... More

Owners were not friendly. The blanket was dirty. We have found a bug on the bed. The breakfast was just waffles.

My husband and I had booked 2 nights at this motel which was built in the 1950s. I thought it would be rustic but did not expect a humdrum motel. We came to Moab one day earlier so had to change reservations. All that was available, at a high price, was an old mobile home for the first night but... More
