My friend and I were traveling through Moab, and we were looking for an inexpensive place to stay. The Apache motel staff is very friendly and family oriented. The breakfast was homemade, the rooms/beds are outdated, but nice and clean.

This is an old motel whose claim to fame is that John Wayne often stayed there. The rooms are basic but clean. It is located about 5 blocks from the main street, so a quieter location in this busy town. This is a family-run motel and staff are friendly and helpful. The pool was refreshing in a small courtyard. The... More

Not fancy, no frills, but everything we needed. Good showers, comfortable beds, fridge and microwave, AC. Little worn, but being in Moab, this was just right. We didn't stay in the John Wayne suite, but we saw it. Just an ordinary continental breakfast but spectacular Pancakes! Can eat out by the pool in the cool morning air. Quiet neighborhood about... A very old "historic(?)" property. I wanted to try non-branded as they were costly, hence gave this a try. It was bare-bones with attendant who did not respond for few minutes. On checkout a lady was balancing multiple kids. I am all for supporting small family-run biz but expect quality & basics. "Breakfast" was mediocre. I am sure d owner... More

This "historic" motel is definitely a throw back to earlier years... much earlier years. The motel is two stories with outside hallways and stair access to the second floor. The street is fairly quiet as the location is in a neighborhood of private residences and some small businesses. The decor is appropriately kept to the period, but there has to... More

This location may look great and much more economical than the other options BUT it is not worth it. Pay a little more and get bathrooms, beds and equipment from this century. And advertising a "pancake breakfast" that is Bisquik pancakes stacked on individual plates doesn't quite cut it.

This is a really cute motel - not family run, but it's locally managed and the owners understand the great motel they have. Prices in Moab are high, but this motel is affordable clean and funky! The Apache is definitely not fancy or luxurious, but they have great rates and they are far away from the noisy main drag. We... More

We were excited to stay at the Apache Motel, where John Wayne, Ricardo Montalban and many other celebrities have stayed in years past. Staff were very friendly, gave suggestion to eat at Susie's Branding Iron - fabulous!, and very accommodating. While rooms were clean, unfortunately the motel really needs cleaned up & painted inside AND out. 'Junk' under back stairs.... More

We stayed at this hotel 16yrs ago with our kids. We had a blast and loved the history that John Wayne and Ricardo Montellban stayed there when they were making westerns. Unfortunately the outside of this building needs upkeep . The pool area is worn and uninviting. The rooms were decent and spacious but a little updating would be nice... More

Great old school motel on a quiet street about 4 blocks off Moab's main drag. A little worn around the edges but clean comfortable rooms. Nice little pool and if you're staying a couple of days they have great little kitchenettes. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.
