I just booked my campsite for two nights as a repeat guest at Canyonlands. I go down to Moab each summer and have stayed at all of the big camping areas and no place is better than Canyonlands. The reason is location, easy to walk to everything in Moab and mood, the camping area is clean, well designed for the... More

I believe this campground caters more toward RVs. The pool, showers and front bathrooms are fine, but the tent camping sites were quite disappointing to our family. We were fortunate in that there were few tent campers so we were not on top of the next site, as we would have been, but I was not expecting portable toilets and... More

Stayed in cabin with 2 grandchildren and my husband and the cabin was clean and comfortable. It rained one day but kids had fun playing cards in screened porch, then watching TV in the cabin. Pool was nice and refreshing, kids could ride bikes, swim in pool and play in campsite playground. Very convenient location, we walked to shops, restaurants,... More

We are experienced travelers and our experience left us exasperated. We have stayed in Moab before and wanted someplace with a pool for our son. We researched and this one stated there was a pool. So we called for rates and availibility and asked about the pool. We then called back for reserving. We made our reservations late in the... More

Thank you for your review. We do have a pool available for all of our guests but had to unexpectedly close it upon your visit in order to address a health concern. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience but the facilities were closed for the protection of our guests. We would love to put you in contact with our Guest... More

Campsite right in middle of town. Can walk to restaurants, fast food, shops, etc. Shilo at front desk very friendly and helped us get reservations on jeep tour. Bathrooms very clean and playground, horseshoes, fun stuff to do. I will definitely stay there again. Pool was nice to have at the campground too.

The reception is very friendly and helpful. The campsite is busy and was full the night we were there. There is no grass, only gravel, but there are shady trees. However, if the wind blows it is dusty and the cottonwood trees dump their fluff everywhere. The noise from the highway is noticeable at night, however, if you are in... More

Check in was nice and friendly. Cost was reasonable. Campsite was all gravel. No grass. Plenty of shade trees. Shower at 5 am was tepid at best but bathrooms very clean and updated. Not the best if you are a little chilled from the night air in a tent. LOTS of cottonwood floating around from trees. Probably not a good... More

If you're expecting to actually "camp" then I would not recommend a campground in town. Canyonlands Campground had a semi-clean shower/bathroom building (better than others we've stayed at), but there is not hot water, just kind of a luke warm temperature. The pool was clean and the grounds were well taken care of. The playground is excellent for the kids.... More

Thank you for staying at Canyonlands. As you know, camping in town has its perks and its drawbacks. Here at Canyonlands, we are close to dining and entertainment but do tend to get pretty busy during the summer season and weekends. We train our park team members to listen and respond to park guest’s requests whenever possible. I am sorry... More

I don't normally stay in private campgrounds, preferring to boondock or camp at public campgrounds. I have to say that Canyonlands was the exception to the rule. I really liked it for the friendly and helpful staff, Krista and Mike; remote and quiet tent area; easy access to shopping and dining in Moab; safe parking for my vehicle and trailer... More

Two of us on motorcycles with a support van had a wonderful stay here in late May. Krista and Mike were super hosts - they enabled us to do multi-day off road motorcycle rides from the campground and stored our van and trailer while we were out riding the great off road routes around Moab. And Mike was a huge... More
