Check in was simple and parking easy. Our room had a cathedral ceiling and small balcony and overall plenty of space. Great shower. Yet when you want to eat, drink, or shop, the commercial strip is just a short stroll away. Stayed at the Gonzo for 3 nights and loved it. Clean room and hotel. Nice pool that faces a quiet street. Great location for walking to restaurants and shops. The location was perfect for getting to restaurants after a long day hiking in the sun. Room was cozy & quiet. Good basic breakfast was part of price. Staff was not terribly friendly, especially when they closed the pool for most of our stay and offered no apology. Frig in room would have been nice and friends at cheaper hotel... more
