My husband and I stayed here for two nights while visiting Appomattox. Our room was big and beautiful. We had dinner at the restaurant both nights which were great. I had the best fried chicken - sweet and tender. Each morning we had a home cooked, hearty breakfast. The staff was warm and welcoming. I would definitely go back.

We chose Babcock House based on TripAdvisor reviews, staying over a Sunday night in order to visit a son who is interning at the National Historical Park for the summer. Located on a side street, across from school playing fields, the House features a front porch with swing, an upstairs front porch with ceiling fans, and a restaurant on premises... More

My husband and I stayed one night here because we were going to Appomatox Historical Park. When we arrived Sheila the inn keeper welcomed us and was very nice. We ate dinner there which went above and beyond our expectations. We had fried chicken, fries, pasta salad, baked beans, peanut butter pie, and carrot cake. All of the food is... More

Most out-of-state tourists will not find themselves in Appomattox more than once or twice in a lifetime - after all, once you've seen the surrender site you really don't have to see it again, even though the drive from I-81 to I-64 to Appomattox is as pleasant as it gets. When you do find yourself in Appomattox, Babcock House is... More

Very welcoming on a very hot day of motorcycle travel. The rooms are beautifully decorated with period furnishings. We felt right at home in 5gis very clean and we'll maintained bed and breakfast. It is also an Inn, so they have reasonably priced meals Food is great. Very friendly owners. Recommended by the locals.

We had a group lunch here as part of our Civil War Trust tour - we were most welcomed and served a great lunch with homemade desserts. Service was friendly and attentive. We'd definitely consider staying here on our own during our next visit to the area.

Our stay at the Babcock B&B began Friday evening when we slipped in on the Bar-B-Q & Beer DJ event. Our new best buddy and waitress , Betty, suggested a great wine and dessert that topped off our day wonderfully. The 1880s house was tastefully decorated to period; the breakfasts were very flavorful and varied by day. It is situated... More

We spent two nights (April 30-1st) at the Babcock and found the B&B was more than just a place to rest the head, but a very good restaurant. The first night there we had dinner in the restaurant, and the food was just great down home food, as was the breakfast the next day. The next night, the menu was... More

We decided to make our first stay at a Bed and Breakfast while visiting Appomattox National Historical Park. The B&B is only a few from the Park and is a quaint little place. We stayed in the Rachael Room and were very pleased with our visit. Before we actually checked into our room the owner asked us to choose our... More
