We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Laurel Lodge. The owners, Chris and Ed, were very friendly and attentive to our needs. They made a great dinner recommendation (Dish in Charles Town) and a great hike recommendation (Maryland Heights). The 3 course breakfasts were delicious and consisted of a fruit dish, fresh baked goods, and the main course, plus juice and... More

A wonderful Arts and Crafts styled home perched on a bluff overlooking the Potomac River. The home was built and designed by a true eccentric who embedded artifacts right into the foundations of the house. The house is now owned my Chris and Ed. I didn't meet Ed but he made me a gluten free cake so I love him.... More

We stayed here for a week in May. We had the Cedar Room overlooking the Potomac. Chris is a charming host and we enjoyed delicious breakfasts made with local produce. Sitting on the verandah in the evening and listening to the birdsong was a real treat. It's a very comfortable place to stay. The whole area is in stunning scenery... More

The lodge itself is situated on a bluff not far from downtown Harpers Ferry. Very scenic area-you can sit on the back balconey and listen to the rapids from the Potomac River or hear the sound of a passing train-right at the bottom of the bluff-you won't be able to see it but you'll hear the gentle rumbling. Pristine location.... More

My husband and I spent two nights here in April and were very pleased with our experience. Our room overlooked the Potomac river and the mountains, a lovely, peaceful view that we couldn't get enough of. The windows opened so that we were able to get the cool, fresh air at night - a real treat and a guarantee of... More

My only regret about staying here was not having another day or two to really relax and enjoy the B&B and Harpers Ferry. Chris was a wonderful host and the breakfast was so delicious I'm still thinking about the scones, fruit, granola, yogurt, apple butter, pancakes, bacon. . . Loved chatting with the other guests, too. Rooms and grounds are... More

A friend and I were looking for a weekend away just outside of the Washington DC area. We wanted someplace quiet with great views and trails and a place to unwind from our crazy lives. Without checking reviews I took a chance on Laurel Lodge. Usually I check Trip Advisor and other sites before making a decision. We were amazed... More

just got back from 3 days at laurel lodge. it is a beautiful craftsman style home that sits above the Potomac river. the 3 course breakfasts were amazing and made with local foods. I found myself just at peace sitting in their living room in front of the large stone fireplace and gazing out the large windows at the magnificent... More

The innkeepers, Chris and Ed, do a marvelous job to insure guests have a first class experience. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The morning meal is outstanding with care given to feature high quality local fare. The setting is very relaxed. If you're headed to Harpers Ferry, I highly recommend this B&B.
