My wife and I spent two nights in Harpers Ferry at the Jackson Rose B&B. There aren't very many hotels to choose from in Harpers Ferry, and some of the reviews for those were a little iffy, so we chose a B&B instead. When I visit a place as historic as Harpers Ferry, I enjoy staying in a historic home... More

Wow! This house and the hosts, Phil and Deb, are amazing! We stayed this past weekend not really knowing what to expect since we have never stayed at a B&B, but I must say, the Jackson Rose lived up to it's high praises. We stayed in the Linden room, which was a large room that had a sleigh bed and... More

The Jackson Rose was exactly what we were looking for in a B&B. It is a beautifully restored, historic home - without a trace of mustiness that old homes sometimes have. Deb welcomed us and gave us a tour of the house when we checked in, and offered her help with finding activities or restaurants. The room itself was PERFECT.... More

We stayed for two nights on our drive from Florida to visit family in Rhode Island. It turned out to be a fabulous choice. The history in the area is fascinating, the state is beautiful (we had never been to W. Virginia) and the accommodations were beyond our expectations. The house has been lovingly and carefully restored with great attention... More

We have stayed in many, many bed and breakfast, both in the United States and in Europe. The Jackson Rose is as close to perfect as we have found!! The room, hosts, location, food, and little extras were wonderful. The C&O canal tow path is the best bike path we have ever ridden. Phil and Deb are delightful and had... More

We are a couple who have travelled extensively in Europe and the U.S., always choosing accommodation in B&Bs and small inns. The Jackson Rose epitomizes the best in that genre: casual elegance, warm hospitality, excellent food, and an atmosphere that makes one feel at home. We stayed in the Linden Room and the Garret Room, each of which was beautifully... More

I stayed here for one night with my son after visiting Harper's Ferry. The Jackson Rose is a magical place. Its history, the exquisite period decor, the fresh baked ginger cookies in the afternoon, everything about this inn provided us with lasting memories. We stayed on the third floor, I had the Garret Room, my son the Hitchcock Room. Both... More

We stayed here a couple of years ago (April 2010, actually) and really enjoyed it. Lovely house, well-appointed rooms, lovely managers.

My wife had wanted to spend some time wandering around Harper's Ferry and the local area so we made reservations for the three day President's Weekend. The location is great, very convenient. The hosts were very nice and helpful, the breakfasts great. The room we stayed in, on the 3rd floor, was spacious. Wireless Internet worked fine. If you are... More
