We stayed 1 night during an 11 day bike thru-trip from Pittsburgh to Washington. The Jackson Rose combines the elements that make for a model B and B. Our bedroom was distinctively decorated with antiques, as were the public areas and the breakfast dining room. Despite the age and history of the home, the facilities are up-to-date and the bathroom... More

Whether you are a UK visitor, a USA history lover or A Civil War buff- stay here. A great homely little guesthouse, charmingly, sympathetically and lovingly restored and kept. Fantastic value in the heart of Harper's Ferry/ Bolivar Heights. A gem of history in a great location. Stay in Stonewall's room, evocative and quiet.. A great night's sleep. Great breakfast... More

Look no further for a B&B in Harper's Ferry. This is the place you want to book a room. It's dripping with history as the once HQs of Stonewall Jackson during part of the Civil War. The Inn keepers are pleasant and hospitable, and room rates are decent. The breakfast is superb! Probably the best two breakfasts I've ever enjoyed.... More

We received this stay as a gift from a friend of ours and we were so delighted. Neither one of us would have thought to stay at a B&B, rather than a traditional hotel. However, our thinking has changed. Phil and Deb are perfect hosts and they are very proud of their home, as they should be. It is kept... More

This was my first B&B experience and it was so wonderful. We were treated well, the hosts are very kind and accommodating, the room was beautiful and the food was delicious! I would absolutely come back here and recommend it to friends! Thank you for such a great and relaxing experience!

As a history buff I wanted to see Harpers Ferry and couldn't have found better period accommodation. The Stonewall Jackson Room was elegantly appointed and extremely comfortable. From the initial advice on where to go and what to see in the historic town to a relaxing glass of wine in the beautiful drawing room to the excellent freshly cooked breakfast,... More

Our stay was exceptional. Our hosts picked us up in downtown Harpers Ferry so that we did not have to cycle up the big hill after a long day on the C&O Trail. They also helped us pick up sandwiches for our bicycle ride the next day. The house was beautiful and the our breakfast was done to perfection. Couldn't... More

Unfortunately, I was only able to stay in this lovely, elegant, cozy B&B for one evening and left early the next morning. The house has an interesting history. The Jackson Rose room was spacious and well appointed down to every detail--alarm clock, drink coasters, pen at the desk, night lights, even a cork pull for wine bottles! I felt nestled... More

Our room was nicely decorated and spacious (Linden Room) but the best thing about Jackson Rose is the wonderful hosts, Phil and Deb. Phil was extremely helpful with directions and tips about restaurants in the area and Deb was very personable and her scones were to die for. We were very impressed with the town of Harper's Ferry itself but... More

My wife and I spent a lovely night at the Jackson Rose B&B. Phil and Deb, the innkeepers, could not have been more friendly and accommodating. We were unable to stay in the room that Stonewall Jackson stayed in but, instead, stayed in the Linden room (a Linden tree is outside). The room is large and lovely with period pieces... More
