5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

My husband and I recently spent two nights at the Jackson Rose. We were fortunate to book the Stonewall Jackson room. It was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view of the front gardens. The B&B is steeped in history. It is a beautifully restored period building yet provides all the conveniences travelers expect. Breakfasts are awesome. Fresh ingredients are... More

My husband and I just spent 2 nights at the B&B in the Stonewall Jackson room. We've been to B&Bs before but this was by far our favorite. It was very cozy and comfortable, and we enjoyed the historical aspect of the house. The food was fantastic! You certainly won't go hungry there! I also got a kick out of... More

Deb, Phil & little Jack certainly make you feel at home. When sitting out on the porch you immediately start to hum "When Johhnie comes marching home" because Stonewall can come down the street any moment. Tasty breakfast and good advice on how to enjoy the sights of Harper's Ferry and West Virginia. Highly recommended.

If you enjoy history, this bed and breakfast is your place. Stonewall Jackson made his temporary headquarters here and slept in an upstairs bedroom. Within walking distance is charming Harper's Ferry, loaded with history (the site of John Brown's insurrection) and interesting shops and restaurants. The setting, with rivers, mountains, and Civil War period buildings, is lovely. Breakfast at the... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Jackson Rose B&B in Harper's Ferry. We were fortunate enough to get The Rose Room, the room that Stonewall Jackson occupied. The room is spacious and was clean. For me, however the highlight was breakfast, despite the fact that I was having problems with my stomach. However I made sure to... More

The room was great, the location was great, the hosts were nice, the breakfast was great, the dog was amazing, and the new baby was barely audible. The owners provide everything, even a white noise generator, but we, who like our quiet, simply did not need it. 47 years before we had come to Harper's Ferry for our honeymoon. Our... More

We stayed 1 night during an 11 day bike thru-trip from Pittsburgh to Washington. The Jackson Rose combines the elements that make for a model B and B. Our bedroom was distinctively decorated with antiques, as were the public areas and the breakfast dining room. Despite the age and history of the home, the facilities are up-to-date and the bathroom... More

Whether you are a UK visitor, a USA history lover or A Civil War buff- stay here. A great homely little guesthouse, charmingly, sympathetically and lovingly restored and kept. Fantastic value in the heart of Harper's Ferry/ Bolivar Heights. A gem of history in a great location. Stay in Stonewall's room, evocative and quiet.. A great night's sleep. Great breakfast... More

Look no further for a B&B in Harper's Ferry. This is the place you want to book a room. It's dripping with history as the once HQs of Stonewall Jackson during part of the Civil War. The Inn keepers are pleasant and hospitable, and room rates are decent. The breakfast is superb! Probably the best two breakfasts I've ever enjoyed.... More

We received this stay as a gift from a friend of ours and we were so delighted. Neither one of us would have thought to stay at a B&B, rather than a traditional hotel. However, our thinking has changed. Phil and Deb are perfect hosts and they are very proud of their home, as they should be. It is kept... More
