We had a fabulous weekend stay at the Jackson Rose this August on a retreat to to beautiful historic Harper's Ferry. Our goal was to find a charming, relaxing environment to relax within close proximity of historic Harper's Ferry and the Shenandoah River where we had planned a day of rafting the relaxing low waters at the end of summer.... We really enjoyed our stay here. Our hosts were great. We had a beautiful cooked breakfast which was different every morning. They were very helpful with local information and guide books. Lovely big garden to sit in at night and watch the lightening bugs.

Stayed here for one night in June 2015 and it was a real highlight of our trip. Phil and Deb are great hosts and really make you feel welcome. The place is stuffed with antiques and artefacts, many relating a previous occupant - Stonewall Jackson nonetheless. Even on a baking hot day, the house is cool and calm, and you're... More

What a jewel! Beautiful historic house, delicious breakfast and wonderful hosts. You can check in, then walk to the historic lower town rather than paying to enter the national park. Don't miss sipping your morning coffee on the porch swing, surrounded by the chirping and singing of birds in the garden.

I was alone for a weekend at this attractive and friendly place even though B&Bs are mostly visited by couples. The owners couldn't have been more accommodating and hospitable. They offered an umbrella when it rained, good restaurant advice, interesting historical books and magazines about the area, and a CD driving tour of Antitam, and anything you basically need. The breakfasts were delicious and... More

The Jackson Rose is a great place to stay if you love History. We only stayed one night in the Jackson room because that was all that was available that week. The owners are very nice. The house is clean and the breakfast is incredible. We sleep well and enjoyed our stay there. They also worked with us when it... More

Unfortunately, we had to leave this stunning bed and breakfast too quickly for a family emergency. This place is so beautiful and well done! Beautifully appointed, comfortable and clean. Historical artifacts abound. Phil, our host, was most helpful about the town. Unfortunately, we didn't get to partake of the famous breakfast. This is a definite place to stay in this... More

Spent 3 nights at the Jackson Rose B&B while in the Harpers Ferry area, and I was truly sad that it wasn't longer! From the start, we fell in love with the house--it is historic, with a connection to Stonewall Jackson, who used the house as his headquarters in 1861-2 while in the area. My husband is a huge Civil... More

My husband and I had the wonderful pleasure of spending two nights in the Jackson Rose B&B on a recent trip to the US. This B&B is one not to miss. The house is beautifully appointed with a very spacious and comfortable bedroom and a choice of seating areas. What made it so special was the hospitality of the owners... More
