We stayed for 4 nights. It was a great place to head out to explore orchards, shops and Madeline Island. The Enso on-site spa was great. Nancy & Steve have done a great job at building a green addition. more

Beautifully located, landscaped, renovated circa 1900 mansion B&B a few miles south of bustling Bayfield. Innkeepers Nancy and Steve proved to be gracious, uniquely knowledgeable hosts. Their commitment to sustainability is quietly self-evident everywhere -- on the grounds, in the rooms and at the breakfast table. While embraced by the past, this historic B&B manages to plant itself seamlessly into... more

The Pinehurst Inn is nestled in Bayfield so you are close to all the activities you could imagine. Yet, the best activity of them all is enjoying the Inn's organic breakfast, gorgeous decor, solar heated water and whirlpools, gardens and surrounding creek. The inn owners are running this as a green business and it is an inspiration for those looking... more

We stayed for three nights and we were not impressed. When we first met Steve, he handed me a legal document to sign and, in addition, asked that we read over the list of rules that he gave us, carefully in our room. Rather than a warm and welcoming greeting, we were met with a business contract. This was the... more

Very pleasant house, rooms comfortable and nicely decorated, but not in that over-Victorian way of some B&Bs. Breakfast tasty, using local ingredients. Environmental awareness/features (solar panels, green tourism designation) a plus for us. The rooms we've had include the bathtub/shower in the room, fine for us, but FYI. more

We loved our trip to Bayfield. I have to say that staying in the Catherine Rittenhouse suite was a challenge. There is no "shower" although a handset is provided in the tub which is very spacious. Even a shower curtain around the tub would help. I was concerned about spraying down the room while rinsing my hair. And it's not... more

We went to Bayfield for a concert at the Big Top. We chose Pinehurst based primarily on its high Travel Green WI rating. When we arrived, it was clear that Pinehurst was about more than just being a "green" property - the grounds are lovely, the home historic, and the food was excellent. It was clear that Nancy and Steve... more

My husband and I drove about 16 hours from Memphis to visit Bayfield and the Apostle Islands. We chose the Pinehurst based on its website. Normally, I choose hotels based on tripadvisor reviews; however, since there were only a few for this one, I decided to go on and check it out. I cannot say enough about this wonderful inn.... more

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Pinehurst. We stayed in the Elisha room and it was comfortable and clean. Having the tub in the main area was a little different and the shower was adequate but would be difficult to get in and out of if you were older. Nancy and Steve were great hosts. They know... more
