We recently stayed at Harbor's Edge. It's no five star hotel but it gets the job done. The room was clean and comfortable but very noisy plumbing. Every time the upstairs visitors ran their water or flushed the toilet, our room filled with noise. It wasn't a deal breaker for us though because the bed was comfortable and you couldn't... More

As a traveler on a budget, this was one of the cheaper rooms I could find in Bayfield. The room was small, but that does not bother me as I spend little time in my room on vacation. The value in this hotel is in the location, right across from the Madeline Island Ferry, right downtown and in walking distance... More

We stayed here one night during our week stay in Bayfield. We were in one of the rooms in the house part which had a staircase inside to get to a second floor. The room itself seemed clean, but bathroom could have use some upgrades. There was a fridge and coffee maker, but they were awkwardly located in the bathroom.... More

My friend and I stayed at this motel after a full day kayak trip. The name says it all. It was right on the harbor's edge over-looking Lake Superior. We were pleasantly surprised not only by the great location, which was within walking distance of many restaurants and shops, but it was so clean with all the comforts of home.... More

This motel has a good view of the lake, depending on the room you are in. Room 16 is on the upper level with a great view. The room is cute and clean. The only issue we had was that the bed was not very comfortable. Service was very good. We had reserved a refrigerator, and prior to check in,... More

If you are traveling to Bayfield, WI during the peak travel season, expect to pay full price for everything in the area. There are no discounts given. We stayed 2-nights in the "House" portion of the motel on the 2nd floor, room #2. The weekday rate was $95.00 plus tax, which is overpriced for the amenities and accommodation of this... More

Roof top deck is accessible only when going through the bathroom of the room you rent. Location is great but the place is older. For the price I should not have been expecting a fancy place. We could watch the ferry boats and the boat tour boats in the harbor and that was nice. We had hoped the deck would... More

I stayed one night at the Harbors Edge Motel. Clean, convenient, cute, comfortable, and the cost was fair! I will stay again if I'm in the area, and would recommend it to anyone. Across from the ferry dock, so we sat outside and watched the ferries load and unload for a couple hours in the evening. Great view of the... More

We stayed 3 nights and used it as a base for our biking trips. It sits across the street from the harbor and is walking distance to nearly all restaurants and shopping. Big Top Chataqua is about 2.5 miles south of the hotel. We stayed in room 5 which is in the original part of the hotel. The room was... More

Just returned from our yearly vacation in Bayfield and first time staying at Harbor's Edge Motel. What a gem in a great location, I almost don't want to write this review and give away our secret! Very friendly and quick check-in. We were in a room with our private balcony overlooking Lake Superior, the other rooms that have balconies share them... More
