We have been coming to Seagull Bay Motel for years and absolutely love the friendly and caring nature of Mike and Jeanne who own the motel and have for over 20 years! This is a no frills motel with not all the added amenities you may find in a large expensive hotel. What you will find is a super clean,... More

We stayed here twice, going to and from the Upper Peninsula, and the host could not have been more helpful. The pet friendly rooms are a bit old-fashioned, but warm and comfy with everything one needs AND the best view going from the window and seats on the shared veranda. There is easy access to a walking path and it's... More

This is a family run mtel. It is older but our room was clean and reasonably modern. The motel is right on the shore of Lake Superior. Walking trails are just steps away. One of them took us through an old apple orchard. The City of Bayfield is a short walk in the opposite direction from the walking trails. We... More

This was my second visit here and it was just as good as the first time. We came up during the mad rush to see the Ice Caves so I know it was going to be a very busy time for all. Still, they were the friendliest I have ever been to. From greeting me when I pulled up, Checking... More

This place is dated but who cares. The price is great, the room is clean, warm, safe and Mike, one of the owners, was informative, helpful and friendly. Gees, he must have been a Boy Scout. He claimed the mattress was pretty new and comfortable and I guess he's truthful too. We enjoyed two comfortable nights and the Ice Caves... More

This is my goto place in Bayfield, when the water is too hard or the air too cold to sleep on the boat. Been coming here for years. Rooms are no frills comfortable, with queen beds. The huge windows with spectacular views towards Madeline Island render the TV redundant! Great place to watch the sunrise over the lake with a... More

We stayed one night here. Yes, the rooms are dated, but very clean. Our room had a queen size bed with 4 pillows. There was a small twin size seat area that could be used to sleep on. The room had a small fridge and coffee maker. I'd imagine it would be a beautiful spot to stay in the summer.... More

The hotel is dated and has a unique non smoking policy (not a big issue but you CANNOT BE A SMOKER and even stay there) but it is clean and the view is wonderful. The price is right for the hotel and I would caution you NOT to get a lower floor as it is very noisy when you have... More

Another year at Seagull Bay, and another wonderful experience. Honest to God, it's like a second home. They arrange for transportation to the Chautauqua Big Top Shows, something that must not be missed! See you next year!

On a recent trip around Lake Superior, this was one of our favorite stops. I don't know if there is a better view. It was reasonably priced compared to the other choices and was very comfortable. The decor was okay. The owner was very nice and very helpful. I would stay here again.
