Friends had recommended the Seagull Bay Motel to us and they were spot-on. It is just as lovely as it is advertised. Sitting out on our deck the Lake air was fresh and seemed full of extra oxygen! The facilities were extra neat and clean and the staff were friendly, funny and helpful. Beds extra comfy. The shuttle bus stopped... More

Beautiful spot, friendly service. My family comes up here every year. One thing though, some people may find Bayfield boring. There isn't much to do there for some people. I recommend bringing a deck of cards to pass time.

This is a GREAT place for people with little kids. The lawn is perfect for running around. On the other hand, as a solo traveler, it was NOT a pleasant experience. When I made the reservation, I was told by the owner that I had a choice between a "shared deck" or a "private balcony". I was SPECIFICALLY looking for... More

We have stayed here at least 5 times. The beds are very comfortable, has microwave & mini fridge. We take wine with us and have a drink on the deck. We love that we can leave the car parked and walk into town on the path along the lake. It is usually peaceful & relaxing.

We booked this hotel pretty much the last minute, getting lucky as 80-85% of the rooms are booked a year in advance by returning customers. The views from each room are amazing. Don't expect a new looking place, it isn't. But the beds are comfy, the water pressure in the shower is strong and its hot. There are lawn chairs... More

The room my friend and I stayed in was comfortable, had a full kitchen, faced the lake and was quiet. But! That's not all. Mike, the owner took us to the room which was very clean and had one bed and a comfortable pull-out. The room was in the back of the Motel where there was a lovely lawn which... More

The manager/owner of the Seagull Bay Motel must love his job. He is very friendly and welcoming. The motel is a lot less expensive than other Lake Superior lodges in Bayfield, but you get a great attitude with a great view. There is a nice walking path into town located on the lake side of the motel. If you stay... More

The Seagull Bay Motel is a great place to stay in Bayfield Wisconsin. Location, location, location is key. Great view of Lake Superior, Access to the Brownstone Trail which is a 10 minute walk to town in one direction, and a beautiful, easy 5 mile (round trip) walk in the other direction past beautiful homes, and through a section of... What can I say? The back deck view of the lake and Madeline Island is FANTASTIC; the price is right and Mike the owner is very efficient and friendly. We will be back. I'd give this place a 5-star if it were not for one problem - I don't know if all the units are the same, but the one... More

Locally owned, clean, comfortable, wonderful, friendly owners. Drive to your front door, walk out your back door to the deck overooking Lake Superior. We were so pleased. We are planning to go back next year for another relaxing time.
