I am writing this as I sit outside my room at the Seagull Bay Resort. We are spending 5 nights here. We could not be happier with our choice of lodging. It's been pretty full every night, which indicates to me that it's a popular place. You absolutely cannot beat it for the price. We wanted a kitchenette but they... more

We wanted "real" a/c, so stayed in the West building. The a/c was noisy, but did drown out the evening highway sounds. The skylight made it bright VERY early in the morning. Just bring your own towels; our car-washing towels are better than the ones at this motel. Friendly and clean, the view from the upper outdoor deck was wonderful... more

We recently stayed at the Seagull Bay Motel and enjoyed our stay. I found this to be a good value after searching on the internet. It was a nice clean room with an excellent view of the lake. Although it is not directly in town, it is very close and there is a nice walking trail to get to town.... more

Very basic motel at a moderate price. We stayed one night before Apple Festival. Close to town, friendly staff. Rooms are basic, thin walls - you hear every move your neighbor makes - and I mean EVERYTHING! As a previous review mentioned the towels are awful-definitely need new ones. Also, the security lights outside shine in the windows at night... more

Read the favorable reviews and decided to stay for the night. Glad we booked in advance as they were completely sold out. The stay was a good one. Here is the breakdown: GOOD: *Very Friendly Staff *Check In & Out was simple and easy *Path directly in the back yard to downtown, avoiding the road, and is about 3 blocks... more

This is tucked below a road and has excellent views of the Lake. Be sure and ask for a lakeview room. On their website: http://www.seagullbay.com/ you can find out which two rooms aren't lakeside. If you can't live without air conditioning don't stay here. We stayed in room 6 and were very happy. They have a microwave and fridge as... more

Our stay at the Seagull Bay Motel was very pleasant. We were warmly greeted and given a brief overview of Bayfield, since this was our first visit to the area. The room was cozy and clean. The motel was a short walk to town and had a beautiful view of the lake. I would definately come back and recommend this... more

Wow... This place was absolutely gorgeous... now given that the room we had didnt have the view of Lake Superior and initially it did make me nervous about the noise because we were close to the main road after we closed the door the noise melted away to nothing. The people in this town are big time recyclers. I love... more

I really enjoyed my stay the Seagull Bay Motel, I bet it is the best value in Bayfield. Cons: No phones in any of the rooms, no continental breakfast, the rooms in the Western building are small and do not have a good a view of the lake. Pros: a path runs right along the lake and past the hotel... more

The Seagull Bay Motel has "Motel 6" furnishings with "Four Season" views. I've stayed at the Seagull before and know that the rooms are going to be very basic but they've become a bit more worn. The best thing the motel could do to quickly to make things a bit better would be to replace all of their towels (most... more
