We booked this hotel pretty much the last minute, getting lucky as 80-85% of the rooms are booked a year in advance by returning customers. The views from each room are amazing. Don't expect a new looking place, it isn't. But the beds are comfy, the water pressure in the shower is strong and its hot. There are lawn chairs... More

The room my friend and I stayed in was comfortable, had a full kitchen, faced the lake and was quiet. But! That's not all. Mike, the owner took us to the room which was very clean and had one bed and a comfortable pull-out. The room was in the back of the Motel where there was a lovely lawn which... More

The manager/owner of the Seagull Bay Motel must love his job. He is very friendly and welcoming. The motel is a lot less expensive than other Lake Superior lodges in Bayfield, but you get a great attitude with a great view. There is a nice walking path into town located on the lake side of the motel. If you stay... More

The Seagull Bay Motel is a great place to stay in Bayfield Wisconsin. Location, location, location is key. Great view of Lake Superior, Access to the Brownstone Trail which is a 10 minute walk to town in one direction, and a beautiful, easy 5 mile (round trip) walk in the other direction past beautiful homes, and through a section of... What can I say? The back deck view of the lake and Madeline Island is FANTASTIC; the price is right and Mike the owner is very efficient and friendly. We will be back. I'd give this place a 5-star if it were not for one problem - I don't know if all the units are the same, but the one... More

Locally owned, clean, comfortable, wonderful, friendly owners. Drive to your front door, walk out your back door to the deck overooking Lake Superior. We were so pleased. We are planning to go back next year for another relaxing time.

This is about our 8th year staying at co-owner Mike's detached house at Seagull Bay in Bayfield. Our extended stay has increased to one week long. The detached house contains apartments in the basement and 2nd floor; we always rent the 1st floor which sleeps 6 in three bedrooms, or up to 8 or more if one uses the back... More

My husband and I just stayed here three nights for our 5th wedding anniversary. While it's nothing fancy, the price is reasonable and the room is clean. Plus the staff is super nice. Mike, the owner, was a pleasure the interact with. I don't think the room had a/c, but this early in the season it didn't matter. Temps were... More

We have been staying at the Seagull Bay Motel for several years. We absolutely love it. The view is the best view in Bayfield from any hotel/motel. The owners, Mike and Jeannie are the best and couldn't be more friendly. This year we only got an opportunity to talk to Mike, but he always has time to converse with his... More

If you are looking for luxury, the Seagull Bay Motelis not your place. But if you want a beautiful view, clean and comfortable room, and basically all the things you need for a few days stay, within walking distance of town and on the lake this place is it. And if you go off-season as we did, the prices will... More
