Ole and Lena's Place was absolutely terrific! My teenage kids want to come back next year to enjoy Bayfield and stay no place other than Frank and Julie's. We shared so many stories. I can't wait to get home and cook Hungarian food from the recipes Frank gave me. Anyone can stay at a hotel or motel....Ole and Lena's is... More

Came up on a whim to see the ice caves. Found this place nestled in town close to shops and all, but then the wooded backyard feels like you are out in nature. House was clean. Rooms are quiet at night (one doesnt hear thru the walls). Hosts are amazingly friendly and laid back. Felt like we were visiting long... More

Nice home, comfortable accomodations, and fantastic stories of Frank's journey to America. Definitely a must stay again kind of place. Located in a quiet private rural setting yet on the edge of Bayfield.

Wonderful hosts, peaceful wooded setting. You'll love the bears who visit! A home away from home. You have access to the upper level of the home, with 2 decks, kitchen and living room. Nicely decorated and very comfortable.

what a treat is this destination-excellent place with full kitchen and deck area along with an occasional bear in the back yard-Frank is very interesting to talk with and all the excitement of Bayfield is just down the hill...

What can I say...by the time I left Julie and Frank's homey, comfortable, tucked-away cabin, I was referring to them as "cousins." Ole and Lena's is the kind of place I like--a B&B-style place to relax, hang out, and just "be." It's an untraditional B&B--really, a wonderful home that welcomes you just like the hosts themselves--with openness and hospitality. Make... More

Bayfield is a wonderful area, but lodging can be costly. Ole and Lena's Place was the perfect "home away from home". Think of it as a bed and breakfast, even though it is not. Frank and Julie have been opening their home to guests for over 14 years, and they got it right. We enjoyed a long weekend of seeing... More
