It took some doing to get past the ground in dirt on the tile floor and the nasty stains on the carpeting, but the cavalier attitude when we complained about the WiFi not working for the three nights of our stay was the last straw. We were told to come down to the Winfield and sit on the deck if... More

Lots of great things to say about this hotel. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The decor was unique, but classy--definitely not your chain hotel standard decor. All the amenities you could want were present--coffee, fridge and our shower/tub was full sized. But what sets it apart is the back door of the room. It opens to the amazing... More

We ended up in one of their cabins - nice but Winfield Inn neglected to have the holding tank emptied between guest stays. So at 10:00 p.m. in the evening the first floor shower backed up together with the toilet. We called the Winfield Inn, course they were closed for the evening and left a message about the situation which... More

Very nice place; beautiful outdoor flower gardens and tastefully decorated rooms. Our room had a full kitchen and a walk-out upper deck overlooking Lake Superior. Nice sized bathroom, but shower was extremely small. As with all accommodations in this area, price is high, but on par with what its competition charges.

My sister and I come here every summer to stay for several night. Love the clean, decorated rooms, the gorgeous flowers, the peace and quiet, the excellent WiFi, and the motel kitties that roam in and out of our room. (only if you want them to, of course!).

We came to Bayfield for a long weekend and spent one night at this hotel . We liked it- we stayed in a motel room. It was quiet, clean & comfortable. Staff was friendly. Enjoyed having a patio over looking Lake Superior although we weren't at the hotel very long.

The Carriage House, which is rented through the Winfield Inn, is located in a white pine forest about 1-2 miles outside of Bayfield. It's set on a hill that overlooks Lake Superior (in the distance). Lou, the owner for this rental property, lives next door to the Carriage House and is a terrific fellow - very helpful and friendly. The... More

We stayed in #28 facing a view of the water. It was updated and fairly clean. The AC didn't seem to work though. We enjoyed our visit and flowers were very pretty. The bed was a little hard for me but the hubby was comfortable.

My wife & I stayed at the Winfield Inn in June of 2014. Nice room, if a bit small, new shower and comfortable beds. Best part was walking out the front of the room onto a patio and the gardens surrounding the place. Had happy hour on the lawn and made new friends from the adjoining rooms. Beautifully landscaped and... More

I stayed at the Winfield Inn very recently and was very pleased by all the renovations. Some of the condos have brand new furniture. I went by one of the condos and it looks like it is being completely stripped of the older furniture and being replaced with new items. I loved the condo I was in. One bedroom, full... More
