We stayed in a room with a view of the lake. We had a covered area with chairs right outside our room. There was a fountain and beautiful landscaping outside our room. But at the front of the Inn there is a huge garden that is breathtaking. Our room was very comfortable cute and cozy. The bathroom was especially nice.... More

Our family stayed here for my brother's wedding. Nice views of the lake, and on site gardens behind the units were nice to sit and relax. Rooms are clean and well kept, and its a short walk to town/ferry dock for food or sightseeing. Beautiful part of Wisconsin, and the caves and the ferry to Madeline Island are close by,... More

My family and I stayed at the Winfield Inn's Brickyard #47 cabin over the 4th of July weekend (2014). The cabin is set back in the woods in a community of cabins. Trees obscure the view of the surrounding cabins so it does feel very secluded and private. The cabin itself is a few miles north of Bayfield and is... More

We stayed here for two nights, while taking a boat cruise to the Apostle Islands. I fell in love with all the flowers around.....like staying in the middle of a lovely garden! People at check in were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the homey touches at our condo, but felt there should have been more than 1 television. It was nice... More

We booked a cottage through the Winfield Inn and were thoroughly satisified. It had a spectacular view of the lake in the distance. This particular cottage was so cozy and beautifully decorated. I suggest you look at all of the cottages they offer throughout the area rather than the main Inn, it is worth the extra cost and experience, especially... More

As we generally do on vacation we find somewhere that we think we want to spend the night and then we start hunting for a place to stay. We lucked out and found this place and stayed in the upper section that is like an old motel but the room was clean, the bed was good and the antique TV... More

We also stayed in room 28 for two nights this fall. While the room itself is quite modern and clean, the walls and ceiling must be paper thin. The people above us had a dog--it barked like a dog but when they played with it, it sounded like a Shetland pony and it raced across the room. We also could... More

We stayed in room 3 of the main building. It had a wonderful view of Lake Superior which was a BIG plus. As some other reviewer said, you could hear the room next to us through the walls. Thankfully, they were only talking. ;-). We only stayed one night, and got in pretty late, so I can't comment too much.... More

We had room 28 and it was clean, up to date, the bed was very comfortable, and the service was great. The reviews on here that are middle of the road or negative are because some rooms have not been remodeled recently and do look dated.....call and talk to someone for a newer room when you book, they're very nice...
