My husband was not a big fan if B&Bs, but he is now a convert..We loved every aspect of this B&B. the gardens were lovely , the room was spacious, clean with our own bath and flat screen tv as well as a porch overlooking the gardens. The breakfasts were wonderful, kept you going until dinner. The home was full of... More

The inn is perfectly situated, in walking distance of the battlefield at Sharpsburg. There is a range of accommodations, from single room, to suite with balcony, to detatched cottage. Joanne's breakfasts are almost worth the trip all by themselves. Joanne and Paul have a lot of information about the history of the house, different ways to see the battlefield, and... More

The Inn is set in the perfect location for visitng Antietam and Harpers Ferry. The Innkeeps, Joanne and Paul, are historians and are so very helpful in getting your trip to be perfect. The breakfasts are filling, tasty and the Inn itself is historical. The rooms are diverse, some even with porches or patios. They are in a historical building... More

This beautifully maintained historic home in Sharpsburg MD offers modern conveniences and good value to travelers exploring the region's history and beauty. Joanne is a warm and welcoming host, and kindly accommodated my request to have breakfast earlier than the scheduled time. She recommended a number of local places for dinner based on her personal experience -- although rather than... More

This B & B was the perfect place. The breakfasts were out of this world. The hosts were gracious and very informative about the area. There is not one thing that could have made it better. Wish we could have stayed longer than the two days we spent there.

Because we were the only guests at the time, the owner graciously upgraded our accommodations affording us a first floor room with view to the gardens and back yard. While the bathroom was small, the room itself was large, tastefully appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was suberb and beautifully presented. Owner provided background DVD's to acquaint us with our visit to... More

This lovely Inn is located about 2 miles from the bike path, and just around the corner from the Antietam National Battlefield which we wanted to tour as part of our bike trip. Our hosts were friendly and accommodating, breakfast was hearty and delicious. A bonus was the home baked cookies and coffee cakes. We came down for early coffee... More

Joanne made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. She was very helpful without being intrusive. We had a relaxing stay and really enjoyed being able to walk down the street to the local tavern for dinner and live music. There is lots to do in the area and it's a great break from city life. We enjoyed... More

I chose the Jacob Rohrbach B&B off the internet after I tried unsuccessfully to find 1 nights lodging in Harper's Ferry. I will be forever grateful that there was no room in Harper's Ferry. The JRH is the 5th B&B my husband & I have stayed in and we both thought it was excellent. It's very easy to find and... More
