We stayed at the Jacob Rohrbach Inn for the first time this past weekend at the recommendation of a friend. We wanted something close to the Antietam Battlefield. The owners, JoAnn and Paul are wonderful hosts. We stayed in the Thomas Jackson room which we chose due to it being on the first floor. The room was very spacious, comfortable,... More

Together with our good friends, we stayed at the Rohrbach Inn this September. It was a wonderful experience and we all enjoyed the hospitality, the well organized and stocked room (info, free DVD's etc.) and the very tasty breakfast, which was accompanied by a short history up-date on the Inn and the area. Also had an excellent recommendation for a... More

I spent the night here on 18 September. What a wonderful experience. The welcome was as warm as I am sure the log fires would be in winter. Beautiful comfortable bed with top grade linens. Come the morning a feast. Probably the finest breakfast I have ever eaten in a B and B anywhere in the world. ALL home made... More

Very nice visit to the Jacob Rohrbach Inn. Joanne and Paul were wonderful hosts and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Wonderful breakfast and great conversation. We had the Clara Barton room which was very nice with a comfortable bed. We visited both Antietam and Harper's Ferry. Would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the area.

My wife and I stayed for three nights. The house is a true testament to the civil war era. The breakfast changes daily and it is outstanding. It is done communal style with all 8 guests sitting at one table. Most of the guests are there to visit the Antietam Battlefield and even if you are not a Civil War... More

Very nice, pleasant visit. Excellent hospitality, relaxed. Inn was clean, and nicely decorated. Comfortable bed, which is key of course. And I was struck by how well organized was the operation, with appropriate confirmations in advance. The list of restaurants they sent us enabled us to make a dinner reservation at a really fine spot in nearby Shepardstown that we... More

We stayed at this fabulous B&B for 4 nights in the General's Quarters. This room is their largest and includes a separate sitting area and an oversized bathroom. It is in a separate building behind the main house and has a private entrance. We visited Antietam and Gettysburg battlefields. Joanne and Paul were extremely helpful in helping to plan our... More

Beautiful Inn, close to Antietam Battlefield. The owner Joanne met us walking into the inn, we arrived a little earlier for check in, she got us all settled into our room, The Thomas Jackson room. We were traveling with our teenage son and Joanne set up an airbed for him to sleep on. The room was beautifully furnished and comfortable,... More

Great location for seeing the play festival at Shepherdstown, visiting the Antietam battlefield or doing river activities. Wonderful hosts, resh flowers and comfortable beds in the rooms, private balconies overlooking the pretty gardens, great breakfast, and, best of all, wonderful home-roasted coffee! Would recommend for romantic get-aways or get-togethers with friends.
