We stayed at the Jacob Rohrbach Inn Bed and Breakfast the last weekend in October. We arrived in the late morning and were greeted by the housekeeper who quickly introduced us to Paul, one of the proprietors. Soon we also made the acquaintance of Joanne, Paul's wife and the other innkeeper. Paul helped find me a bike the fit me,... More

my best girlfriend and i treated ourselves to a haunted halloween sleepover at the rohrbach inn, after doing a terrific ghost tour of sharpsburg. we stayed in the clara barton room, and were absolutely spellbound by its charm and comfort. joann, our innkeeper, was warm and welcoming and had pretty much thought of everything we might need. no ghosties visited... A very nice room with a great view from the balcony looking into the yard. Kept very well and clean. Given great advice about food around town and the history about the inn. Inn keepers were delightful, and breakfast was delicious.

Thank you for the great stay! Both Mary Ann and myself could not have imagined a more perfect weekend than what we experienced at Jacob-Rohrbach Inn. Everything was PERFECT!!! From the excellent accommodations, the incredible breakfasts, your wonderful hospitality to meeting new friends in our fellow guests, our first weekend away as a couple is a memory we will treasure... This historic inn is run by a very nice couple named Joanne and Paul. The building is situated on the main highway, and is about a 10-minute drive from Shepherdstown, WV (handy, since all of the restaurants and shops are located there). We didn’t stay in the main building – we reserved the private cottage which sits in the backyard,... More

my wife & I had a great stay. Great rooms that were very clean. The breakfasts were excellent. Enjoyed the conversations with guests after breakfasts. Joanne & Paul were very knowledgeable and helpful with anything we needed. We would go back again if in the area & would recommend this place very highly.

This was our second visit to the Jacob Rohrbach Inn and it as very bit as good as it was when we visited seven years. The rooms are big and have all sorts of interesting artefacts. Breakfast is fantastic with home made cakes, bread, preserves and even coffee made from beans roasted at the inn. Joanne and Paul are not... More

What a wonderful place to stay! This was a last minute reservation, but so worth the stay! Being a bed and breakfast owner myself, I tend to look closer than most. This place was just want I hoped for. Close to my point of interest (Antietam), wonderful hostess and host (Joann and Paul) and an amazing historic home (1802). I... More

We stayed at the Jacob Rohrbach Inn for the first time this past weekend at the recommendation of a friend. We wanted something close to the Antietam Battlefield. The owners, JoAnn and Paul are wonderful hosts. We stayed in the Thomas Jackson room which we chose due to it being on the first floor. The room was very spacious, comfortable,... More

Together with our good friends, we stayed at the Rohrbach Inn this September. It was a wonderful experience and we all enjoyed the hospitality, the well organized and stocked room (info, free DVD's etc.) and the very tasty breakfast, which was accompanied by a short history up-date on the Inn and the area. Also had an excellent recommendation for a... More
