Before we booked our trip, my significant other and i read the reviews.. As much as The Inn had several positives ones, we were concerned with the negative ones. As we were checking out, I basically told my significant other that I have to read the bad ones again to figure out why they had such a horrible time. We... More

We found the Inn at Antietam to be superbly located, very attractive inside and out, spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds and quite nice linens. Innkeepers Bob and Charles were the perfect hosts offering afternoon refreshments after a long day of travel or touring and exceptionally good breakfasts. Although on a main thoroughfare, the Inn was quiet and cool. The... More

I've been going to the Inn for 4 years and I have never had a bad expierence. Bob & Charles have been wonderful hosts. The rooms are spotless & the breakfasts are wonderful. I would recommend the Inn at Antietam to anyone who wants a peaceful stay and a beautiful location. Hope they never retire! More

We travel more than 650 miles to stay with Bob and Charles and our long journeys are always well-rewarded with delightful visits. In fact, we no longer stay at other B&Bs - anywhere! - because no one can measure up to the warm hospitality, lovely accommodations, and fabulous breakfasts we find at the Inn at Antietam. The Inn is beautifully... More

A friend treated two of us to a night at the inn. We were thrilled with the inn, its hosts and its location. We saw some rather negative recent reviews on this site, so were wondering how our stay would be - but can say that we were most warmly welcomed. Charles and Bob were very accommodating and went out... More

We stayed two nights, the rooms were pleasant but not as clean as a few years ago, the food was mediocre at best but the hosts... cranky, rude, unhelpful, everything was too much trouble and a simple request for enough clean towels for the group ( it was July 100 degrees) caused them to lose their temper and shout at... Bob and Charles are very gracious hosts. The room was large and comfy. Breakfast was served in the dining room, and it was just delicious. We enjoyed fruit, coffee (or in my case a lovely hot chocolate), baked french toast, with baked bacon..YUMMMM!!! and continual offers of more coffee/hot chocolate. Bob and Charles are both very interesting people, as they... More

Stayed there before and noticed quite a difference. I think that Bob and Charles are just about at the end of their B&B days. Took an act of congress to get a "tiny" cup of coffee in the morning before breakfast was served. Seemed to be bothering Charles just by asking. Plus....every light in the house was constantly turned off... More

The hosts were rude and unwelcoming (we had 7 people staying at The Inn at Antietam and the rest of our group was staying, thankfully, at the Jacob Rhorbach Inn. Perhaps the hosts are gracious to an individual couple but I certainly would not recommend booking several rooms here for a group, as it appears too much for this Inn. More

Charles and Bob are gracious and entertaining hosts. Both come from show business pasts. They professionally gauge what you are looking for, and deliver it. The house and neighborhood are quiet although off the main road. Breakfasts are excellent. Lots of reading materials. Great place to unwind, chairs on the porch or the garden. And, you will never forget the... More
