Very disappointing!! Food fair. Could see food prepared, no use of gloves. Owners superficially friendly, no suggestions for good restaurants, points of interest. Was told to look at flyers and menus. No internet service which is must for traveler. Feel owners should hang up their hat with this business!!

The Inn at Antietam: 'period decor' is authentic, comfortable and in a perfect location to see the history of the area. Inn keepers are most accommodating. This Inn is right next to the National Cemetery and the Battlefield itself is a 4 minute drive to reach.

My wife and I recently had the opportunity to stay again at the Inn at Antietam bed-and-breakfast. We have stayed there multiple times in the past, and returned again because we were looking for the friendliness, cleanliness, and relaxing atmosphere that Bob and Charles and the Inn at Antietam provide. Being innkeepers ourselves, we know how to pick a quality... More

We had an awesome visit with the gracious owners Charles and Bob. Our suite, the Blue bird, was sweet. Have not been to a B & B where you find bedroom and sitting room for such a reasonable price (this was our 10th). Enjoyed the conversations and the atmosphere. Coffee maker in room and hand towels would be a great... More

My husband & I stayed here last year for July 4th celebration at the battlefield. We have been married 23 years & have stayed in 15 B&B's. This was one of the worst. We had no coffee maker in our room, so in the morning my husband went downstairs to get me a cup to drink while I got ready... More

Bob and Charles are two wonderful,. older gentlemen who made us feel very much at home. They told us a little about their show business history - very interesting. Charles made us wonderful breakfasts. If we visit Antietam again we will definitely try to get a reservation at The Inn at Antietam. We had the Rose Suite on the first... More

This place is just the homely sort of place one wants on a trip through America. Bob and Charles make you feel extremely welcome, a large room with a big bed, our own sitting room and en suite. Breakfast was to die for. A full American show cooked by Charles If your staying here eat at The Press Room in... More

Very convenient B&B if you are touring Antietum; battlefields, etc. The B&B is very clean, but the walls are thin. Breakfast was good. I concur with another reviewer who indicated that one of the owners was friendly; while the other was not. They tried to help us with a restaurant. The air conditioner did not work properly. We understood that... More

My husband and I stayed in the Rose Suite on the first floor for two nights. The room is lovely and quite large. Bob and Charles, the owners were gracious and take pride in their B & B. The breakfasts were delicious. We enjoyed sitting on the rockers on the porch looking out over the yard. This is a very... More

If you are a Civil War buff, as we are, and you are visiting the Antietam battlefield, as we have on several occasions, there are only two places to stay--the Inn at Antietam, which is located on the battlefield, and the Bavarian Inn, located a few miles away on the Potomac River in Shepardstown, West Virginia. We have stayed at... More
