I have stayed at The General Morgan Inn on two separate occasions and both times, my room was impeccable. The beds are comfortable, the toiletries provided are high quality, not your run of the mill stuff. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food at the hotel's restaurant is delicious.

This is a beautiful, historic hotel in the downtown area of Greeneville. The rooms are charming and have an older feel with modern furniture and technology. The beds are decent but could use mattress toppers to ensure a better night's sleep. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The parking situation is not ideal and you may end up walking a... More

Recently stayed here because there were no other rooms in town. The hotel was very old but quite fancy. Beds were decent but rooms seemed a little stale. No microwave in the room but there was a fridge. Parking was terrible. I had to park 2 blocks away and carry all of my luggage in over gravel parking lots. Not... More

My husband and I recently had the good fortune of staying at this fabulous hotel for 2 nights for a weekend car show. We got there a bit early which gave us a wonderful opportunity to walk around the ground and do some looking around the hotel until our room was ready. WOW - not only is there so much... More

We stayed at General Morgan Inn last week & our experience was very different from that of Bob from Orange. First, I changed our reservation several times; the staff was very patient & accommodating. Then, a day before our scheduled arrival, I called to ask if we could arrive that day: no problem, with an early check-in. Everyone at the... More

This is a tough review to write because we actually like the Inn and most of its staff. Let's start with the good. Beautiful clean building, spacious rooms, with big soft comfortable beds. Depending on who is at the front desk, you can have the very best of Southern hospitality and concern for your stay. Maids do an excellent job... More

If you are going to be anywhere near Greeneville, Tennessee, this is where you will want to stay. They have done a wonderful job restoring this nineteenth century hotel, it is simply beautiful. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the gentleman who was working the front desk when we checked in very late at night went out of... More

Staying here in connection with meeting. Found staff rude and indifferent. Noise from party on roof-top patio ridiculously loud. Making it impossible to sleep. A/C does not work well. Wi-fi service is hit and miss, at best.

Love this hotel. After a bad experience in Johnson City, checked out early and moved to the General Morgan Inn in Greeneville. Great Move! This Hotel is quiet, comfy and beautiful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the beds are beyond comfortable. Will definitely stay her the next time I am in the... More

This inn was a recommendation while traveling in Greeneville, TN on business. My travel companions and I found this historic inn (originally built in 1884) charming while still providing wifi and a business station and plenty of places to work. The hotel has a great story and is self proclaimed as having a quirky history and INNspired oddities! It has... More
