Because it was so inexpensive, I had not expected much. I was nicely surprised to find it clean, friendly, and the room was large. I booked a pet-friendly room and they charged $10 more - but it was worth it. LARGE front grassy area for us to walk. And the restaurant next door was great, too.

We stayed here 4 nights while visiting family in Greeneville. Based on other reviews I suppose I expected to find something wrong but that never happened. The room had a very fresh, clean smell, the bed was quite comfortable and everything was in excellent working condition. Even though we were somewhat close to Andrew Johnson Highway, noise from traffic was... More

Some rooms have been updated, on the street side of the motel. Room is comfortable but as another reviewer noted, the non-smoking rooms smell strongly of cigarette smoke. As I stayed there in the same room for two consecutive work weeks (but checked out for the weekend to go home), I found that lots of Febreeze and Lysol Spray, plus... More

This hotel recently changed brands. While the room was clean, large and well appointed, it was somewhat dated. The bathroom fan was noisy (same room as another review?) The front desk staff was extremely friendly but lacked training in the hotel's technology. They had to call someone to find out about the Internet access and had some trouble navigating the... More

This hotel is now the Knights Inn and under new management for about 3 months. The hotel staff was polite, efficient and helpful. Room is large but very outdated and in need of update and some repairs. Strong stench of cigarette smoke in a nonsmoking room. I'd stay there again knowing that they are trying to upgrade their facility.

This motel has obviously been remodeled in the last few years since this was an older roadside motel. The room was large and clean and the staff was friendly. It was equipped with a microwave and small frig and the shower had instant hot water. Mattresses were firm and comfortable. The price was right also. The only negatives I found... More

5 stars in the context of what you expect and what you pay for. Large room, clean, quiet, cheap. Friendly lady at the front desk, decent mom and pop Italian restaurant within 200 feet. What more can you ask for at the location and price?

The room was clean and it was one of the best hot showers I've ever taken. Staff was very friendly even at midnight when I checked in. Only issue with the entire room was the curtain wouldn't cover the entire window. For the price it cannot be beat!

We stayed in room 101 for two nights so that we could attend the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesbourough, TN. The room was large and comfortable Everything worked, we slept well. Although it is right on 11E, the noise of traffic was not intrusive. Our gps thought the address was in nearby Tusculum. It is not a new place, nor... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our one night at the Charray Inn after seeing a Greeneville Astros game in June 2013. For one thing, it was about a five-minute drive from the ballpark. What jumped out as we entered the room was how large it was--I'll estimate 30% larger than your standard motel room, even though we booked it... More
