Spent numerous nights in this beautiful hotel over many years and overall cannot boast of it's charm and hospitality... The staff are always welcoming and cannot do enough for you.. The Sunday brunch is probably the best I have experienced worldwide and is extensive... The bar is quaint and within walking distance to the private beach.. Grounds are kept meticulously... More

I did enjoy my stay, but had quite a few negatives. Pros: Very beautiful landscaping; friendly folks; and just an awesome feeling of being in this resort. My room was cool (open air lobby very hot in June, the hallways a bit less hot, but walking into room 304, it was so cold). I had a balcony with two chairs... More

While reading other reviews I am noticing a pattern of comments about the rooms needing updating, hard beds and facilities not being open in the morning. Usually management writes back and says that they will inform another manager about the situation. It is a little shocking that I have experienced the same issues and no one has made them better... I have no complaints about the room; I'm used to more-primitive locales. But the room I was given had no in-room coffee or fridge. When I went down to the lobby cafe at 0630 to get the coffee I wanted, the cafe was closed. It looked like it was, maybe, out of business. That issue hopefully has changed by now.... More

Spent 8 nights here with my family. The hotel itself is a bit dated and the beds are not the absolute best, but after a day or so the place really grew on me. The grounds are spectacular, and match well with the natural beauty of the island. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We tried several restaurants on... More

The Hyatt has definitely seen better times when it comes to its interior, everything is a bit Miami Vice style and run down, however the rooms are very spacious and very clean. The location and service is superb and Hyatt quality and if you are looking for a weekend runaway on a lonely remote island this is the place! The... More

Pros - every room appears to have an ocean view, grounds landscaping like a beautiful garden, Sunday brunch was the best I've encountered - every dish was delicious, and the entire staff we encountered during our stay were friendly and helpful. Cons - bed in rooms are hard, hard, hard and make it hard to sleep, also making it hard... More

The hotel grounds are beautiful. The beach, pool, etc. are all nicely maintained and wonderful to see/enjoy. The rooms are simply adorned and spacious - but could use a bit of TLC or makeover for the dated bathrooms (old plumbing, lacking bath amenities, etc.); cleanliness was so-so. I spent many hours sitting on the deck relaxing, reading, watching the sunset,... More
