I stayed here for four nights while attending a conference. There was really nothing to fault - the room was very clean, attractive and fairly spacious, the staff was courteous and helpful, the location is central to many sights and restaurants, while the room charge is relatively good for SF. All in all, staying here was a pleasant experience.

A cute boutique property, just a few blocks from the heart of downtown SF. the room was clean and comfortable, although the bed was very firm. Courteous staff, but a slow, single elevator. Plan on using the stairs if you are able. One of the nicest aspects is that there's a great sandwich shop (Bite) just a few doors down... More

This isn't the Ritz but in a pinch I booked this hotel on Hotels.com. I paid $202.00. I thought a bit pricey for the hotel and location, but there were three of us and the city was really expensive this particular weekend. The rooms are small, quaint, quirky and clean. My son loved the power of the overhead shower and... More

This hotel gets a very good rating mainly because it's a pretty good hotel with little major flaws. Rooms aren't massive, but they aren't tiny either. Free wifi is available, but it's relatively slow. Better speeds will cost you more. The gym facility is great. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are new and clean. The downsides of the hotel... im not sure how this hotel has garnered such good reviews. I had to stay here as a late registrant to a large convention. I should note I used to live in sf and know the city well. This hotel is on the border of two very dirty and sketchy parts of town - the location may be somewhat convenient... More

We enjoyed a lovely time at this hotel a few months ago while the weather was still sunny. The decor is set with a since of hip humor of white ceramic animal heads, stylishly decor and the Hitchcock classic film VERTIGO which captures a glimpse of local scenery of a bygone era. I would give it a five stars, except... More

Stayed recently for our honeymoon and we were both impressed with the hotel. Very clean room, an exceptionally comfy bed and the bathroom was a good size. Unfortunately our room was beside the lift which was quite loud, so I recommend asking for a room away from that. The staff were very friendly (except for the man on the reception... More

This is a great boutique hotel, with a great theme - Hitchcock's Vertigo film, based in San Francisco. It's all orange and white, with the swirling logos repeated throughout. The movie even plays on repeat behind the front desk - with very nice staff. I stayed as a guest of the hotel to check it out, and found everything to... More

So one, you have to appreciate Hitchcock when you stay here. Even the elevators have a tendency to creep you out. But there are great bars and food within seconds from the hotel front door. The staff is cool and very helpful. I felt truly welcomed and a great atmosphere. Price was perfect for what I need to stay for!@
