First of all customer service. 50% of the staff frankly should be in a different job-a job without customer service interaction. The other 50% of the staff, as you would expect from a hotel in the (tourist destination of San Fran/ the USA) were helpful and friendly. I think that staff know which 50% they are. The rooms are a... More

The location of this hotel is great, but that is the only good thing about this hotel. We stayed 2 nights, the first night we were put in a room with a full sized bed, very squeaky and cheap mattress. The second night we asked to switch, the hotel staff were nice about it on the phone although we got... More

This hotel was nice place to stay and the staff were friendly. The lobby is so beautiful. It is located in the Tenderloin area which is not a good area of San Francisco. Walking to Fisherman's Wharf for our tour group was too uphill and downhill so we caught the city bus about 5 blocks walk from hotel in the... More

Had previously booked room for $169 in mid-summer. Room was okay and wanted to book again at that rate and was told $209. Accepted and gave information on card to be presented at arrival by a certain time. Called to inform them of arrival delay and was told rate was now $269! Rather than quibble, accepted that. On arrival was... More

The hotel is just ok. Been to much better. They want to charge $35 per DAY to valet park your car! In other words take it to the near by public parking! We parked ours on the street! The maid couldn't even leave a full coffee supplement next morning... Pathetic really as cost pennies! Wifi went off at 4pm and... More

this hotel is very nice and in a strategic point of the city, where you can easily access Union Square and all the major attractions even on foot. The staff is very kind and willing to give advices to the turists (great!). Rooms are quite and clean.

I stayed at the Hotel Vertigo a few weeks ago after reading the most recent Trip Advisor reviews for a quick overnight trip for work. I typically stay at Marriott branded hotels (points driven of course), but this one was near the location I prefer & the reviews were decent & the website made it seem like a normal hotel.... More

We left the choice of the hotel to our travel agent and he booked us into this very clean, friendly place. They do not provide and meals, so you have to go out, even fir breakfast, but there are so many places within walking distance for it not to be a problem. It is a bit further away from the... More

This is a great hotel in a fantastic location. There was an overbooking problem which meant we had to switch rooms after the first night. This was a bit of a pain but not the end of the world. The hotel is stylish, clean and a great place to stay. It is an easy ten minute downhill walk to Union... More

Would recommend for couples-close to a very good restaurant Nobb Hill cafe and walking distance to grace cathedral. Most tours will pick up at this location as well. Free printer; ATM; and fitness center all made our trip much more convenient
