We spent a night here during our stay to San Francisco. I booked hotels at the last minute for our trip and this was one of the. We wish we would have been able to stay longer here. The staff was great at check in. The room was that W hip, fun and clean! These hotels always have good energy... More

The W is in a fantastic location near dining, shopping, etc. Spa is nice and rooms are nicely decorated. That all seemed great. However - The first morning I woke up here I noticed a couple of quarter sized mosquito-type itchy bites on my arms. I did not think much of it until I woke up at 3:30am the second... More

My wife and I had a great trip into the city and wanted to stay somewhere conveniently located near some fun activities. The staff was very wonderful (front desk, doormen and bar). The W has a young, hip vibe that my wife and I really enjoyed. I would like to give a special thank you to Chris Thompson, the doorman... More

I stay at the W because I'm an SPG loyalist and this place is close to our office in San Fran. That said, I have also elected to stay here for fun - you can't beat the location in terms of accessing much of the fun of the city without being surrounded by the tourists. The front desk isn't always... More

As an American living abroad I love coming home, seeing friends and family. I always book Starwood hotels, and have for years. I am growing increasingly weary of the brand in the US. I love the W brand, and have increasingly started to focus my loyalty to enjoy its services and standards, in Europe and Asia…. But sadly the US... More

My wife and I just stayed here for one night, but it was blast. They really make you feel like a rock star. We got excellent drinks at Trou Normand’s just around the corner and dinner at Trace, the restaurant attached to the W. Might be the best duck I've ever had.

We were upgraded to a suite and had a wonderful city view - windows all around. I could have lived in our room! Very bright and roomy! I understand what the other viewers are saying about the lobby - the excellent service made up for the small and noisy experience. Also, a great location for walking to shopping, and food.... More

First impression is that the lobby is very small and loud, and there was a bit of a scrum to check in, less of a problem to check out. This impression was magnified by the tiny lobby and bad acoustics there. In evening, it is even louder as it is kind of meetup spot at the bar. The location is... More

Been at the W San Francisco in May 2014. My first impression when I entered was: OMG that will be noisy... Fortunately for us, the rooms were very quiet. The staff was friendly and went above their duties and called directly SPG for us since our account kept cancelling for no reasons. As for the rooms, they need a little... More

I stayed for almost a week in this good hotel. Room: on the building corner with a nice view, small for two, clean. Wifi in the room is not free. Very good breakfast. Also good the inside pool and the gym with a very low extra price. Surely I will come back.
