Had a really good experience at W SF during a 5 night stay. Place was full but you'd never know it with room and staff experience. Stayed in a corner room (would highly recommend it) which was spacious and quiet. Staff was great, very attentive and responsive. Convenience of hotel to Moscone and great restaurants, coffee shops can't be beat.

I work here in San Francisco, however live about an hour away in the suburbs. I stay at the W San Francisco once a month or every other. The rooms are your typical modern W rooms. The space is moderate for the area but super clean. The hotel lobby and bar are the place to be, with a huge local... More

Very nice hotel, nice rooms. I upgraded to a high floor corner suite. To my misfortune, the view out of the hotel was of a steel skeleton of a building under construction with 20 steel workers welding and banging away at 7:30 in the morning. The hotel was all booked and couldn't change my rooms. I had the drapes closed... More

Lovely hotel , very trendy , very modern and trying to do things right - but the basics were missed in our case - we travelled from LA to SF and arrived quite late - hotel parking is not easy to find - calked the reception to ask for directions - we were close ..... To a very expensive parking... More

I am a Starwoods member, but had never stayed at a W Hotel. I was a bit surprised when I walked into the room. I felt like I walked into an asian dormroom. It does not feel upscale at all. My second impression was, "Thank God I'm not an alcoholic with the number of bottles of booze positioned around the... More

My first time to stay at the W Hotel San Francisco and only for one night. Good location, room was clean (great amenities...love Bliss products), and most important the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Love the trendy design of the lobby area. We were given a warm and friendly reception during our stay from by the front desk staff... More

I just checked in to a brand that I know and trust would give me exemplary service and accommodations. But right now the W's "whatever whenever" isn't happening for us. Before arriving I requested a higher floor, a room above the 22nd floor, what I received is the 5th floor. Marlene was unable to honor the request I had made... More

I don't usually write online reviews, but I love this place! It's conveniently located in the Financial District - great if you're in town for meetings. The hotel is tastefully decorated, but in my opinion, the staff is what makes this place top-notch. The bar has been recently remodeled and looks fantastic! If you stay here, be sure to visit... Rooms are ok , but are not clean , a hair was stuck on my bathrobe, the little closet next to fridge was all dusty and dirty . The furniture looks old , I don't know if anything was renovated , but nothing looked new , moreover , it was bad quality ! When you're room is fixed and "cleaned"... More

The staff at the W were fantastic. I was celebrating a milestone birthday and they really went out of their way to make our stay a memorable experience. From the restaurant and nightlife suggestions from the concierge (Gordon), before we even arrived, to the great doormen (Leon and Julian) and then Marlene, who took care of our many demands when...
