This hotel is right next to "Union Square" and is Fantastic. The hotel staff were most welcoming...even offering me a taste of the house made "lemoncello" while i check in along with a house made Biscotti...both were deleicious. The room was impecablly clean and roomier then many SF hotels. The ammenities were top notch and the whole experience could not... More

I live close to the city and love to spend the night from time to time in Union Square. This is a great choice. Right in the middle of everything. If you have a room over the street, however, it can be loud.

We booked a Junior Suite because my hubby's sister was staying with us. When we checked in the Junior Suite wasn't available until the next day. For our "inconvenience" they gave us a discounted rate. It turned out that we were quite happy with our "double double", so we stayed put. On check in, they were very helpful, and we... More

Half a block from Union Square and roughly two blocks from Market St. Plenty of shops, restaurants and bars around. The hotel has a cozy feel to it. It is a boutique hotel after all (less than 200 rooms). 7 floors and two elevators, but I never had to wait long. They´re currently renovating all their rooms (should be completed... More

Stayed here for one night, the room was on the 2nd floor overlooking Powell street. It was LOUD!!!! Can I tell you that those windows do not keep any sound out. Also the room has shutters, no curtains, which means that the room is as well lit as if you have alter lights still on. So, if you want an... More

I stayed here on business two days this week and found this to be a nice boutique hotel just a block off Union Square. My room had been recently remodeled and had all the features a business traveler could want. The rooms are a little small which is typical of updated older hotels in central San Francisco but everything fit... More

As a resident in San Francisco, I understand that there is a wide variety of hotels and experiences to be had in the city. As a resident of San Francisco, I would advise any and all looking for accommodations to avoid Villa Florence. I made the decision to stay in one of the double beds in my mother's room for... More

Returned to Villa Florence for a two-day getaway. We visit at least twice a year and are never disappointed! If you want prime SF location, this is your spot--less than a block from Union Square, three blocks from Market Street, and Powell Street cable car line is right out the front door for an authentic SF experience. And the cafe... More

We all know San Francisco is expensive and this hotel is no exception. The best thing about it is the location if you come to San Francisco to shop, being half a block from Union Square, right on the cable car line. If you are here on business or a family outing, there are hotels in the Union Square district... More

I stayed for the busy conference in town and the hotels put up their prices. but even so this was an incredible price for the villa florence. The location is very convenient right by union square and that is how they can charge such amounts. Two room options. I had the better option which is a dark room with a... More
