I booked this hotel for a business trip and stayed for 5 nights. The reception staff was very nice and saw that I was staying for so many days and offered an inside room, which would be a lot quieter. I am not sure if the inside rooms are smaller in size, but the room is really tiny. You can... More

My wife and I had 1 night to spend in SF and went on Priceline to pick a hotel. We just needed to stay for the night before heading out to the airport the next morning. I selected Nob Hill but somehow I got Villa Florence which is exactly more like Union Street area not Nob Hill. In any event,... More

Villa Florence is well-located in the Financial District, making it convenient to attractions and restaurants. The rooms are small and the valet parking expensive, both probably typical of San Francisco. The concierge and the room cleaning staff were both friendly and helpful. The open lobby is hectic, which distracted from the ambience of the adjoining restaurant. A little tidying up... More

Four of us visited San Francisco from London for a week in October, and the Villa Florence proved the ideal base. It is central and convenient, has free wifi throughout which was very fast and enabled me to Skype back to the UK free of charge. The gym is small but also very convenient. The hotel staff are extremely helpful... More

This was my 3rd visit to the Villa Florence in 20 years. The more things change...the more they stay the same. The Villa Florence is a small boutique hotel. If you want a room like you'll get at a Marriott or Hyatt, you might be disappointed by the Villa Florence. But if you want a friendly, neighborhood hotel, with a... More

An excellent hotel, right in the center of San Francisco. The hotel has a great ambiance, the rooms are nice and clean, perhaps a bit small. But very comfortable. The staff is very kind and helpful. There is no parking provision, you can park your car in the parking garage beneath union square.

This is an old hotel, which you need to remember when booking. We arrived late at night after a delayed flight from NYC. We were given our key and directions to the room. We got into the room and it was tiny. One of us had to sit on the bed while the other moved around and vice-versa. There wasn't... More

You can't get any better as far as location with this hotel. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are a little smaller than an average chain hotel. It has a European feel, which I liked. The closet was HUGE. The bathroom was nice but had no counter space so I had to put on makeup in the main room... More

At the tail end of a business trip, my best friend and I spent 2 nights at this hotel. The vibe was very Old-Europe- in a charming way. Our room was on the top (7th) floor, and pretty spacious. The closet was huge, the bathroom was clean, and the beds comfortable. The wiFi was a bit sketchy at times- but... More

We stayed here in Sept 2014. Main rooms are quite spacious and grand with a definite European feel. Once you venture past and hop the elevator it changes quite a bit. Exiting off the elevator you're transported back a few notches. In fairness, they told us there are renovations that will change all this, but there is quite a smell... More
