Returned to Villa Florence for a two-day getaway. We visit at least twice a year and are never disappointed! If you want prime SF location, this is your spot--less than a block from Union Square, three blocks from Market Street, and Powell Street cable car line is right out the front door for an authentic SF experience. And the cafe... More

We all know San Francisco is expensive and this hotel is no exception. The best thing about it is the location if you come to San Francisco to shop, being half a block from Union Square, right on the cable car line. If you are here on business or a family outing, there are hotels in the Union Square district... More

I stayed for the busy conference in town and the hotels put up their prices. but even so this was an incredible price for the villa florence. The location is very convenient right by union square and that is how they can charge such amounts. Two room options. I had the better option which is a dark room with a... More

This hotel is in a great location just off Union Square. The lobby area is very nice and we found the staff to be friendly. The hotel is undergoing a major renovation programme at the moment - we were in one of the older rooms which was ok but definitely needed a facelift. We had booked through a third party... More

JP Morgan is biggest healthcare conference of the year. I've attended meetings for most of the past 15 years, but never had an experience as bad as this one. The hotel is charging my firm $1,300 a night for a suite. When I saw the charge, I expected a room and service consistent with the pricing. To say that I... More

I am not much of a fan of city life. Too busy, too noisy and too much hustle. So I was pleasently surprised when our room at the Villa Florence was so quiet that I couldn't even hear a siren. The service was excellent and right there when we needed something. They were so friendly they made me smile, yet... More

My husband and I stayed at Villa Florence for 3 nights over the New Year holiday. It was a fantastic location that is very convenient for walking to other areas or accessing public transportation. The hotel is nice and they are currently in the process of remodeling. Based on the pictures we saw of the vision for the remodel, it... More

I stayed here for a day and it was marvelous. The outside atmosphere was great. Lots of people at the shopping center. Inside the hotel the cocktail area was great. Nice service. Great room and staff. Only problem was it gets very noisy if you have the street view room at night. Lot of noisy service trucks doing things at... More

We have stayed at the VF for the last five years the weekend before Christmas. It never disappoints. Our annual trek to the city from our home in Sacramento with our best friends from Pleasanton. While the staff is always friendly, this year they seemed even friendlier...if that is possible. Front desk, valet, bell staff, restaurant staff and even the... More

This hotel is in the Union Square area....amazing location...close to shops and cable car lines. It is currently undergoing a renovation so pricing will surely change soon. We found the rooms charming (historic) and comfortable. The concierge were attentive and helpful. Rooms overlooking the streets were a bit noisy but it was during the holidays and it did not go...
