Hotel Triton is charming and quirky without being pretentious. The public spaces are cheerful and faintly psychedelic, our room was comfortable, the location was really convenient, and the staff was relaxed and friendly. We asked one staffer, Nick ("Tesla") about bus fare, and after telling us it was $2.25, he asked, "Do you need quarters?" Without any fuss, he fished... More

This is our second stay at the Triton in San Francisco. Our two-night reservation was handled perfectly. We were greeted and received very efficiently and cheerfully. Traveling with another couple, we particularly enjoyed the wine hour in the lobby each evening before we went to dinner. The hotel is conveniently located, easy walk to several good restaurants and to the... More

I stayed at the Triton for two nights, and I couldn't be happier. The staff is great, the rooms have charm, and the entire hotel has a hip and cool attitude you won't find many other places. The location, right by the gates of Chinatown, and a stone's throw from Union Sq., is right where you want to be, and... More

Recently my husband and I visited SF for the first time from New Zealand. We had stayed in a Kimpton hotel in SD so we were sure the chain would be a safe stay! The room was clean, tidy, excellent location and service was fabulous but the noise is horrendous! Shattered afterr a 12 hour flight only to be woken... More

Hey Traveler, Yikes! This is definitely not the feedback we are used to seeing, and we are disappointed that you won't be staying again. We understand the important of a good night sleep and a comfortable room when you are traveling, it sounds like the room was comfortable but the city noise was a little disruptive. We have 8 other... Our visit to the Triton was second to none! It was the start of our USA honeymoon and it was a great start. All staff were always friendly, very enthusiastic and were always personable to you. They really helped us start our honeymoon celebrations, and our first ever trip to the States, by sending a complimentry bottle of champagne and... More

This was my second ever stay at the Hotel Triton and it was definitely a little bit better than my previous stay. This was largely because I was in a much quieter room than my initial stay, and the room didn't quite smell as much of paint as the first time. Anyways, onto the details.. I checked in very easily... Did not know what to expect here. My wife booked us here for one night while waiting for another hotel to open up. Very interesting. I have stayed at Kimpton's before, but it has been a while. I guess when I saw the hotel from the outside and there were window units in all the windows, it just through me... More

What a beautiful place. The Dragon gate (Chinatown) is right outside the front doors. The front lobby was captivating! We were upgraded to the Kathy Griffen suite so we were sitting in the lobby while it was prepared for us, and the lobby was very confortable. The suite was amazing. It was a little weird having a picture of Kathy... More
