We work the SF Marathon every year and spend the night before at this motel. It is conveniently located next to Presidio on Lombard. Lots of great bars and restaurants in walking distance. Rooms have recently been upgraded. Lots of TV choices free parking and Internet nice staff and clean simple rooms. Pricey but not for SF

We were put in the room in the corner that was left over. The living area was half that of the other rental rooms. If you sat on the toilet, your legs were out the door, etc.

Just to clarify, there are 2 Travelodges on Lombard Street in SF - this is the one right next to the entrance of the Presidio. The room was tight and the bathroom was even tighter, but the price was good and the staff was extremely helpful. Several bus lines pass within a block of this hotel and it is in... More

We stayed in this hotel during 3 nights for the first time in SFO with Tripadvisor advice. We were thinking it was very good one but we were very disappointed regarding the room obtained ! The location is very good, near bus stops, very easy to go everywhere in the city. But, the room is very small, dirty. Only a... More

Very handy for visiting, staff friendly and available. Two bus lines pass nearby, one in front of the door. A personnalised bus map was willingly furnished at the reception with indications and lots of welcome advice.

We stayed here at The Presidio Travelodge in July 2014 and Loved It! We travel with our dogs, so finding a location in San Francisco that is not only dog friendly, but has dog friendly areas for potty breaks and playtime is imperative for us. The hotel is adjacent to The Presidio, which was perfect when we needed to take... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
