Although this is small hotel, our stay was fantastic. Can't say enough about Ray and Bruce. Both were so helpful. Ray was great with mapping out travels each day and making recommendations. The price was right. Although a little old looking (carpets definitely need replacing), I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone wanting to visit San... More

The location of the Travelodge Presidio is excellent: few steps from the Presidio Park entrance, few steps from the Marina and Exploratorium, on famous Lombard street though at the less romantic stretch of it, jump and hop from the Golden Gate bridge, in quiet area full of gorgeous houses overrunned with exotic plants in full bloom every season, comparatively quiet... Rooms decent, breakfast decent, parking lot available but not enough stalls for all rooms, get there early and leave your vehicle parked until it's time to go home. Public transportation easily available. All 3 people we met at the front desk were absolutely delightful to deal with, full of helpful advice and tips.

We had so much fun in San Francisco and the personnel at the hotel were very helpful! With their help, we learned the bus system and made our way all around the town. I attended my Commencement for my PhD with California Institute of Integral Studies' Transformative Inquiry Department at the Palace of Fine Arts and that was within easy... More

Best travelodge I have been in. Breakfast included was sufficient. Concierge (yes in a travelodge!) Raymond Archer was a great help. His knowledge of San Francisco is amazing. Gave us great directions on how to get out of town on Bay to Breakers Sunday. Convenient to the Presidio which was our destination. Clean rooms and well maintained. Parking is limited:... More

Passing through SF my fiancee and I stayed here and thought the location was great. If you like walking you can stroll to neighbouring streets with great restaurants. The room was clean and nothing much. Breakfast was limited and the room was quite pricey mainly because of the location.

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
