This is the staff you wish for wherever you travel. The night clerk (a young woman) who will run out to save your parking place while you pull around to take that very last one. And the kind that will help you plan your day in the city with lots of local's knowledge of the best ways to go. The... More

We had a great stay at this Travel lodge. It was basic. Comfortable bed but Thin walls. Best part was Raymond on staff who gave great advice and tips for getting around the city. He probably saved us $40 with all his suggestions. I have never in all my travels met any hotelier be so happy to give help and... More

Excellent room. Very clean. King size bed and lovely bedding. Fridge and coffee. All staff were very friendly and helpful. They obviously enjoy working there. Gave us excellent advice on public transport and places yo go. We hired bikes from a company which gives you free bike rental if you spend upto the value of the rental on clothes or... More

This is a somewhat belated review from a visit in April 2015, my first visit to San Francisco. I initially chose this hotel based on reviews and location - it is close to the Golden Gate Bridge - and it's (limited) free parking. First of all I have to say the staff at this Travelodge are really one if it's... More

Great location. Received free bus passes for two days from them. Easy traveling to get around to popular sites. Ray & Bruce are terrific for SF info, places to see, eat, travel, etc. Would return again.

A great hotel with free wifi and clean rooms. Beds are comfortable and parking is free. It had free breakfast in morning and a snack out in the lobby during the day. The manager Is great and very helpful. A very good family hotel in a great location.

This is a very old and tired hotel but the staff are fantastic and they keep it very clean. There is parking on site for about 50% of the number of cars so if you get a spot ,leave the car and use public transport. The guys in the office will give you a full run down of everything you... More

We stayed here for one night and were very pleased with our stay. Great location near the sights we wanted to see. The room was a bit small but clean and had everything in it we needed. Added bonus was the free parking. The helpful staff at the front desk took the time to explain the bus system and went... More

Stayed for four nights at the beginning of a West coast tour. Room was clean, large and very comfortable. Staff helpful in organising taxis, places to eat and how to get around. Free high speed wi-fi Nice location, but a bit a bit of a trek to downtown. Would recommend for the price paid.

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
