The staff was great. I would like to thank Bruce for his help in getting me a ground floor room.

I booked this hotel on the basis of its good reviews, in the understanding it was relatively cheap and therefore wouldn't be luxurious. We expected reasonable as had paid less for a very pleasant and comfortable hotel next to Chinatown when we arrived in San Fran. However, only managed to stay one of the two nights booked here - so... More

This was a typical plain basic no frills Travelodge. The room was clean, bed comfortable, linens very nice. Continental breakfast was available with hard boiled eggs, cereal, and croissants. Enough to fill the void before heading out. The big win was the customer service. Bruce and Raymond were both incredible in their own ways. friendly, lots of knowledge, helpful and... More

This hotel was in a nice, quiet location but still easy to get to the bus system to get to whatever area of town you wanted. The thing that put this property over the top for us was their GREAT customer service! Whatever we needed was taken care of promptly and with a smile, all the associates were wonderful. Unfortunately,... More

I want to share our wonderful trip to San Francisco on January 11, 2015 for my hubby's 70th birthday. We stayed at the Travelodge at Presidio and the staff were the best. High fives to David, Raymond, Nicky and Bruce. They could not have been more helpful, kind and responsive. We walked both ways the 277 steps on Lyon Street... More

We had tickets to an event, and elaborate plans for the weekend- and felt we couldn't travel because our dog had just been diagnosed with lymphoma. We didn't want to board him, though he is not yet "sick". We just re-set our expectations and cancelled much of our itinerary and started figuring out how we could salvage our plans to go... More

This propery location suits my needs. Is it luxury? No. The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are SMALL and this time there was rolls of carpet blocking the view of our window. Not that we had a view, but nonetheless, yes, rolls of carpet. I am not a large person, and I had to walk sideways to... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
