This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Beware of room 20. This is the room with the weird vent on the door. So noisy and cold because you can't close it. Holes in sheets. Grimy, old and dirty. You are desperate if you stay here.

Just the facts: 1. No central heat and no air at all. 2. Bathroom door did not latch or lock 3. No exhaust fan or window in bathroom 4. Cigarettes burns and stains in carpet 5. Microwave left in room was broken 6. Vent in outside door is unable to shut 7. Noisy motor running at night 8. Old and... More

Stayed here for 6 days. Location is very good, right in the marina and cow hollow area which has many good restaurants and bars. MUNI stops right around the corner. The hotel and room are pretty run down. Old and and show signs of wear and tear. Tv made a weird noise. No AC, just heater(which also makes noise). Beds... More

This motel is located in a not so bad place. It is close to Lombard Street, but far from the part where that street is so famous. The room is really bad: old and smelly, since the window could not be opened. My car was in its parking lot, in front of the reception, but even though it was not... More

Dirty sensation. Carpet full of cigarrettes holes. Very old and used. Very noisy AC. Free parking. Thick walls, you listen your neighbourgs snoring. The are is nice, bacause you have some bars around and the neighbouhood is suitable. Near Fillmore Street (genuine american, San Francisco Street, full of live, no tourists). If your budget is low, and you are not... More

We stayed for three nights and besides the reception, everything was great. The room was always clean, the location was close to pubs, restaurants and even a 24/7 store. Amazing how quite it was taking into account how close to the nightlife area it is. The only thing I did not like was the fact that the parking is very... More

We stayed here for 2 nights after a long roadtrip from Washington (this was our final destination). When we made the reservation, our main concern was free parking, so we put that in the reservation as well, that the front desk had told us we would receive free parking, and we did. We didn't want to use our car for... More

Our room was dark, depressing, with holes in the wall where a lamp used to be. The light switch was FILTHY. The front desk staff was indifferent. They had our money, we were stuck. No towel rack or hook in the bathroom, smoke detector hanging by its wires. The only plus was free parking. Don't stay here!

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
