This motel was a little run down, dated and extremely basic, but it was clean and about a half hour walk from Fisherman's Wharf. Located over the hill on Lombard Street (crookedest street in the world), this motel was fair but noting really special. The bathroom was clean and the wifi was decent but the breakfast was nothing short of... More

We had trouble finding a place to stay in San Francisco that didn't cost the earth, but was in a fairly good location. We found the Town House Motel eventually and while still more than we were looking to spend was in the right part of town. We found it very easily but parking in the car park is quite... More

Traveling on a budget is hard in San Francisco, but this is a very nice place at an affordable rate. The manager was very friendly and up for some conversation, which always is nice. Makes you feel welcome! The room was nice, and since it's not facing Lombard street, also pretty quiet. Beds are comfortable and the room was clean,... More

Stayed two nights. Comfy room and free parking. Breakfast was a croissant and fruit but enough to get you going. Close to the Bay Area took us 30 minutes to walk to fishermans wharf. Good price for the area and free parking was great Bit noisy on the main road but nothing some ear plugs wouldn't fix !

San Francisco is an expensive place to stay so if you want somewhere close to Fisherman's Wharf that doesn't break the bank, this is ideal. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, who helped us when we locked our keys in the car. Always at reception ready. We took a bus tour around the city which was brilliant. The... More

This place was located away from most of the tourist crowds at Union Square and the Fisherman's Wharf. It was close enough to easily walk to them, but far enough away to not always be in the crowds. We stayed a block away from Chestnut st (where the locals eat) and Market St (where they shop). We were on the... More

We stayed for several days at the motel and have nothing bad to say about the motel or staff. I would like to say Thanks again to Michael the Manager who was nice enough to ship my bag back to me in Canada when we forgot it in the room when we left. And did not realize it was missing... More

We stayed here for 2 nights over the 4th July weekend. The lady on the front desk was very nice and we checked in with no problems. The room was pretty small and felt dark. As it was very busy the parking was a little bit tight. No breakfast here but there is a Mels diner down the road so... More

The Town House Motel is close to Fisherman's Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge. It is on the "Jump on, Jump off" bus tour route and is also close to other public transport so getting around is easy. It is not far from the town centre at Union Square either. Our room was comfortable but basic but there was plenty... More

10 minutes walk from the Fishermans Wharf, ideal for a budget stay. Although the motel is on a fairly busy road, it wasn't noisy at night. Staff were helpful, & free parking was a bonus. Rooms were basic, but clean. Breakfast was very limited, and had to be eaten back in the room. However, there is a diner a few... More
