This Ritz Carlton is probably one of my favorites because of the attentive staff and the impeccable way they maintain the rooms and the common areas. I rarely see a hotel with such high marks in that area. The other Ritz that gets the same high marks in this area is the Dallas location. Housekeeping at both of these properties... More

Ritz Carlton properties are always of high quality -- which is what you expect of 5 star hotels at this price point. The hotel is quite nice - rooms are large & comfortable. The in-room coffee service is higher quality than most & I always appreciate when evening turndown service includes bottled water. The bathroom is ok, not great. Surprisingly,... More

We stayed on the club level floor 8, which is a must in my opinion if you are staying at this hotel. Excellent service and complimentary food. Joseph the concierge was excellent and nothing was to much trouble. Including finding great tickets to the NFL playoff with only 24 hours notice and to all the top restaurants, despite most of... I stayed at the Ritz SF for 3 nights for business. It was everything I'd anticipated: great location (smack dab in between Union Square & Chinatown - a 5-minute walk to either; but beware, the Ritz is on a big hill, if you have issues with some climbing); well-appointed rooms (king bed, sumptuous duvet & linens, marble in the bathroom);... Service was fantastic, location was great and value was great. Very nice hotel but it needs a renovation in the near future. The rooms are good but not great. The shower was OK. The lobby is really nice. I would stay there again for sure. But when I think Ritz-Carlton I think "creme de la creme" and this didnt quite... More

I stayed here and at the Mandarin in SF and this wins hands down. Better service, friendlier staff and a real feeling of old world luxury. I would definately go back. More

Management has this hotel has zero credibility and service levels are embarrassingly low: examples: First of all I was in a club level suite and paying roughly $750.00 usd per night. To boot over the past decade I have stayed at this location 20 plus times. Examples of laughable service and zero credibility: 1) club level is supposed to mean... More

I stayed for 3 nights with my family (wife and 2 boys ages 8 and 6) for a conference in January, 2012. The service is what you expect from a Ritz Carlton, elegant and refined but not too intrusive. Check in and check out very smooth with no wait. Be aware that if you bring a car you have to... More

Have fond memories of staying here about 5 years ago, but upon my return I was thoroughly disappointed. The staff are uncaring and seem to do the bare minimum required (nothing is more frustrating when receptionists/concierges interrupt your conversation with them to answer the phone- or speak to another member of staff) We stayed on the Exec floor and as... The service at the Ritz Carlton is great. From the moment you get out of the taxi through check in, everyone is friendly and welcoming. The check process was very fast and I was in my room quickly. Every employee of the hotel greets you as you walk by. I especially liked it when several welcomed me back after I... More
