I loved everything about this hotel. I don't know where to begin. I read all of the revirews of this hotel before I booked & can honestly disspell any & all negative feedback... based on my experiences there. Our stay was 6 nights. We booked room 307 the Cyril Magnin Suite, It was divine. Brand new upholstery on the furniture,... More

This place takes you to another time period from the moment you enter. The carpets and the stairs and everything is so old but pretty and nice. The staff is great and the price is nice too. I think it's a little small but if you don't need a lot of space and you want a really neat experience it's... More

if you want a super new, plastic and chrome hotel, move on. This hotel has an old time elegance of times past. From the moment you enter you are taken back to the 1900's. It is slightly faded at the edges but this adds to the charm. The biggest surprise we had was the for poster bed and the period bath.... More

My family and I enjoyed our stay here. It was nice and refreshing to see some nostalgia and character in a hotel instead of ultra modern-day, which can sometimes be a bit bland. The staff here are very friendly, patient and informative. The rooms were clean and tidy with a fridge, iron and board along with an ornate bed, chair... More

We had booked, via Booking.Com, for four nights for my wife and I our daughter. On arrival we were told by the front desk that they only had confirmation of a booking for two people and that the room they had for us would not fit another bed. With the help of the porter we moved the furniture around to... More

We apologize for the inconvenience, but Booking.com had given us the wrong information. It would be best to check in with them first about what kind of rooms they are trying to sell and if you still want reassurance, you are always welcome to give us a call. More

My husband and I booked this hotel on-line, paying for two nights in advance with no refund. The pictures of this hotel on the web make the hotel look outstanding; not the case. The hotel was built in 1902 and apparently has never been updated. Before entering the hotel, you will find posted a warning regarding the interior of the... More

As this is a boutique hotel, we try to keep the setting of The Majestic Hotel traditional and old-fashion for or guests to have a sense of San Francisco in 1902. There is a lot of antiques in our hotel which makes our hotel different and elegant from other hotels. We apologize for your inconvenience. We try to provide the... More

My parents, who are in their 80's but NOT disabled, decided to make a spur of the moment trip to SF and only the Majestic Hotel had rooms available in the neighborhood they wanted. I now know why. The hotel is really old, has a very slow elevator, and the rooms are furnished in an Edwardian style, since it's a... More

I booked a 5 night stay, checking in on July 22dn When me and my wife arrived they gave us 3 rooms, all of the were dusty and smelled bad, the argument the front desk used was "this is a 120 year old hotel" not only that only one room had aircon and it didn't work properly The lady at... More

We are sorry that you felt this way, but we try to be helpful as we can. That should not be a valid argument. We check the rooms all the time to make sure they are ready for our guests to stay in for the time they are in San Francisco. More

We "Named our Price" on Priceline and got stuck with Hotel Majestic. The hotel is old, not renovated, stuffy and uncomfortable. In addition, the floor in our room was far from being level; the building must have sank. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I really didn't see the "boutique" aspect others did.

We apologize that you did not feel that you were in a boutique hotel. We are renovating the hotel, but our hotel is certainly Edwardian and old-fashion. More
