As you can tell from the title it's all a lot location. Everything at then Inn is very small and our "view" is a solid brick wall 3 feet from our window but it's a good price for a great location and the staff at the front desk is really helpful. San Francisco is really expensive so if you care... More

Dear Chris, Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review of our Inn. We are indeed very centrally located to many major attractions in the city, just a few steps from a cable car stop, all of the shopping that Union Square has to offer, as well as countless restaurants. I am especially glad to hear... More

We stayed for two nights, then spent two days in Yosemite before returning again for two nights. Both times we arrived early and were kindly checked into an available room. The second stay we were upgraded to a great suite. The hotel is central and staff were all really helpful and friendly. Although there is not much room in the... More

We went on a 10 day trip to Northern Ca and every other night spent it in a different hotel. All of our choices were great thanks to TA; however the Inn at Union Square was the best! They even asked--and they were the only ones who did What could have made our stay even better? They truly get the... More

We spent one night in this lovely, quiet hotel. Our room was typical small size for this era of hotel, very clean, and comfortable...even without AC. There is a small reception area on each floor, a nice touch. Each evening there is a wine reception on floors 3 & 5 for all guests. This was a huge highlight for us.... More

Rooms were a decent size for a boutique hotel and staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Lots of special touches like breakfast as well as wine and cheese every evening. Coming back to the smell of freshly baked cookies was a real treat! Would recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a very comfortable affordable and... More

A charming, central, boutique hotel with helpful hosts and receptionists. Not sure if the happy-hour (wine and cheese, actually two hours) is a regular thing but it was a nice point of difference and allowed guests to mingle and meet new friends. Exemplary cleaning. If I was a regular traveller to San Francisco I'd stay here every time.

We were in SF for less than 24 hours so we wanted to make the most of our time (on foot). We got there at around 1:30 pm and check-in couldn't have been faster and the rooms were both ready early enough that we could put our things down and hit the streets walking. The rooms are small but clean... More

Still haven't determined if large chain hotels are better than the boutique hotels in SF. Prices are comparable, guess it depends on what you want. Inn at Union Square is a very boutique hotel. It's right off Union Square so you have the location but not the constant mad rush of people outside the door. The staff are extremely friendly... More

I've been to many hotels around the world, including Five star in Sardinia and the Ritz in Sarasota. I've never felt so at home. This boutique hotel is a charmer, in the middle of all the action, but without the crowds. The staff is warm and welcoming, the best hospitality has to offer. The 5:30 happy hour in the cozy...
