One of the best hotels in San Francisco. The service was unbelievable! What ever you want! If they don't have it.. They will get it! They aim to please. Loved staying here. Balcony rooms are beautiful and spacious! More

Lovely property, impressive lobby, great location...yes, but....service is better in a motel 6. This is a premiuim hotel and therefore you are willing to spend the bucks on it, but in return, you expect attention, courtesy and an illusional feeling you´re better than home during your stay. This does not happen. Not a smile, not a single time the door... More

Thanks very much for your feedback regarding your recent stay at the hotel. We feel very fortunate to be located atop Nob Hill which places us in the heart of the city. A room or service that is not up to our guests' standards is unacceptable. We pride ourselves on providing superior service and clearly we failed to deliver on... More

Stayed three nights with a friend for a quick blitz of San Francisco. We were expecting just to sleep there, but found the Laurel Court lounge most convenient to relax in. Bell Desk staff were so attentive upon check-in that we had no questions or other requests. Our room was spacious enough with a well appointed closet. The bed was... More

If you don't say, "Ooh!" then you first walk into the lobby, I would be very surprised. Very lush and opulent - I felt like I should have had a corset & a hat with a large plume. The service was tremendous and my room was quite lovely. Spacious with enough room to work. I slept pretty well too. I... More

The 5th and final hotel on a 2-week California roadtrip. Meant to be a luxurious end to our stay, but it was the biggest disappointment of the trip. Not outright bad, just a big disappointment. Firstly, we were greeted by a very rude valet parker. I prefer to self-park, not just a cost thing, but I still have all my... More

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent experience with us here at The Fairmont San Francisco. It sounds like beginning to end there were multiple issues with your stay. I apologize for the rudeness of the valet attendant. There is no excuse for that behavior, particularly since they are the first contact many guests have at... More

Stayed in the Calcuta suite - beautiful but the noise from the internal fan system was extremely annoying. More

We had the two bedroom Sutro Suite for a celebration of two birthdays - mother and son - 80 and 60. The view was spectacular, we could see all three bridges and we figured we were seeing at least a 270 degree view from all the rooms together. It came with a formal dining table for 4 which worked so... More

The room we stayed in is average for the price. It is gilded with gold curtain rods, gold curtains, marble floors in the bathroom. But basically it smelled old, and just slightly creaky. The building outside is impressive but the interiors are a bit dated. If you like golden age design, then this place is for you. Otherwise, pass it... More

Thanks very much for your feedback regarding your recent stay at the hotel. We feel very fortunate to be located atop Nob Hill which affords us such spectacular views. That being said we can certainly recognize that the hills can be challenging to climb. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't like our room decor. We are classic hotel with... More

What a beautiful hotel. I didn't know what to expect when I booked an over night stay in the city. Walking into through revolving door was like something out of a movie set! The furniture in the lobby was beautifully arranged and the decor is fabulous. I was greated several times before getting to the front desk to get my... More
