Great little eclectic hotel. It's not 4 stars, but it's very clean and comfortable with an excellent restaurant who's food is very good and reasonably priced. You can literally walk across the street, catch a city bus for $2.25 and be at Fisherman's Wharf in 45 minutes. The prices are extremely competitive for San Fran and it has free parking.... More

Went to Lincoln Park golf course for pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge. Talked to a local visitor who mentioned this hotel. Luckily one room was available. Large room with a small kitchen, two twin beds and a queen. Family run so nice.

Comfortable, clean, very reasonable rates for San Francisco, perfectly located. Friendly service...thanks, Front Desk Rick! We will be staying again. Lots to see while enjoying a walk on historical turf. Great views are readily accessible. Bruce & Dena

I stayed here about twenty years ago and was very impressed with the good value back then. When I began returning to San Francisco repeatedly last year, I decided to give it another try. I was so impressed that literally nothing has changed. It is hard to keep a good thing going consistently. It is old school, as in the... More

From out of the past comes the Seal Rock Inn, a little shabby on the outside, but clean, with very comfortable beds and modern bathrooms, and, from the third floor, ocean views. Right out at the end of Los Lobos at 48th, across the street from Land's end section of the national park, by the ruins of the Sutro Baths.... More

This is a great inn for the budget minded traveler in San Francisco! It's hard to find rooms for less than $200 a night, but Seal Rock Inn can do it! We had an ocean view room on the 3rd floor, complete with fireplace. The restaurant attached to the inn is very good, also. We ate 2 breakfasts and one... More

I live in Lake Tahoe CA and am used to luxurious. I have to travel to sf for business at least once a month and on this trip, I went without my wife and 2 kids. Instead of paying 400 for a hotel in Union Square (where my wife likes to stay), I chose to stay near the beach so... More

The Seal Rock is an older hotel. It has lots of character, great views and a wonderful staff. The hotel is far away from the main hub of the city though it is on the bus route (as in the buses are parked across from the hotel at practically all hours). It was a bit noisy from time to time... More

As a native San Franciscan, my favorite area is what's known as the "Outsidelands" at the far western edge of the City. Now that we live outside San Francisco, my husband and I stay at Seal Rock Inn once or twice a year. The location is ideal for a getaway to this part of town, away from the noise and... More
