Just as many other reviews state: good service; safe; clean and great location. The rooms are a little outdated but have have all the amenities and upgrades where they count. Very clean and quiet. Would stay again.

Depends on what you are looking for, but in the city you can't beat the rates here. It is out of the hubbub of downtown, on the oceanfront, great hiking close by and the old bath house ruins below. The café downstairs is one of the best breakfast joints in the city, lived in SFO for years and used to... More

Stayed for 6 days and 5 nights and had a very nice stay. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The location was just right for the VA visit/ Desert Storm study and the in-house resturaunt was great. The room was quiet and had two views of the ocean. There is a bus "end of run" stop across the street... More

Great location to the beach; quiet neighborhood with easy access to Munibus which we used to go downtown - allow 60 minutes to get to Fisherman's Wharf. Hotel has free parking and the restaurant downstairs made up for the rooms. Restaurant makes great omelettes. We chose Seal Rock Inn for easy access to Cliff House (dinner reservations) and the beach.... More

We were in S.F for 3 days (surgery at V.A. for my husband). Vintage furniture, new big flat screen t.v. and fire place, bathrooms new. Nice view from room 301. Clean, staff great, Seth big help w/WiFi

Needs tearing down and rebuilt. A very unusual location handy to the beach and easy drive to downtown. The restaurant was a greasy spoon (I mean greasy) really needs a good clean. It was like going back to the 50s.

This is a nice little inn in San Francisco. It is away from all the city hustle and bustle and has a partial ocean view. It is walking distance to the beach which is nice for a morning/evening stroll. The hotel itself is quiet, we have stayed here twice now. First time was the corner suite, second time the end... When I read a newspaper review of this place, I knew that I had to go. It was on the shore of San Francisco, yet still accessible to the city, and the price was right. I found the hotel true to the newspaper review, old fashioned but charming. My room overlooked the pine trees of Sutter Park and the Golden... More

What a fantastic jewel of a hotel! We decided to relax at the beginning of the trip, and there is no better place. Land's End, Sutro Baths, Sutro Park, and the Pacific Ocean all right outside the door. We booked the Sea View Suite (bridal suite), on the top floor. The windows look out over the Ocean on two sides.... More

A lovely motel away from the hubbub of downtown -- and with views of the Pacific. Hard to beat the price. Nothing fancy, but spacious and just right for our needs. The attached restaurant serves breakfast and lunch. We ate sumptuous breakfasts there two days.
