The hotel is 'OK' but housekeeping is sloppy at best and front of house staff are miserable, curt and unhelpful. The pool has all the appeal of a hospital physiotherapy centre. Beds are comfy and shower ok. TV has a terrible selection. Didn't eat here.

Great place to stay in a great city with the perfect location and outstanding service. The concierge service is awesome. They will help you plan everything you want to do to see as much of the city as possible. Even if you know what you're doing you should stop and talk to them about your plans as they will give... This is a busy, business hotel with a noisy lobby, but it's in a perfect location for Union Square, shopping, theaters, etc. We were there, coincidentally, during a tech conference so I'm not sure if it is usually as crowded. We were first impressed to learn that we were automatically upgraded to one of their more spacious corner rooms which... More

Rooms are nice and big. Had a room with a big king bed and plenty of room left for me. Right by Moscone so perfect for me. Parking across the street is much cheaper then in the hotel and Target is just near by for some snacks. The gym is large with good equipment. If you're gold the lounge has... More

When I go to a Marriott, particularly a Marriott Marquis, there are certain things I expect to find. These include a certain room style, a business center, a sundries shop and coffee bar in the lobby, a concierge lounge and a casual restaurant. I also expect to find the convenience of ROOM SERVICE. This hotel does not have room service... More

Elegant, comfortable and quiet rooms, amazing assistance and tons of advice on where to eat and shop, and directions, too, from everyone who works there! A little spendy, but well worth it. If you want to experience downtown SF without having to drive, this is the place! Walk to Union Square, Chinatown, Macy's, and a myriad of shops and restaurants!... More

Room was a bit small but adequate. We had to request an upgrade. The view in first room was just ok and the upgrade was a bit better. This hotel was a bit too crowded for us, a lot of conferences there. Had to wait in line whenever there was a problem or inquiry. Although it was ok we would... More

Stayed here for 1 night and we chose this hotel for its location. Walking distance to the BART Powell Station and at the heart of the shopping district. Ross, Macy's, Nordstorm, Bloomingdales are all walking distance from the hotel. The hotel lobby is always full and very busy and it takes some time to be able to talk to the... More

This is very old hotel , very things looks dated here. The service is very good and does maintain marriott standard. The options for dinning is limited but you have many good restaurants around the hotel. The rooms are standard, wifi is chargeable unless you are gold or platinum member. The restricted executive lounge is nice and available of members.... More
