Older hotel, but very clean and well kept. Problem with hairdryer which was fixed immediately. Breakfast was minimal. White and wheat bread, and plain muffins. Should add some English Muffins, bananas and better creamer. Hard boiled eggs were good. My room faced a wall, which was OK, and kept the street noise down so was a quiet location. Noise could... Paid too much for a motel 6 type room. Sorry 6. Room floor was slanted to the south making it uneasy to walk. Paid over 300 dollars and still had to pay 17 dollars to park in a handicap parking spot. Breakfast was an appetizer at best. Too crowded, nothing desirable to eat.

At first, I was disappointed there was no pool or hot tub before I arrived in San Francisco. It's too cold for these ammenities even at the end of June. As for a lack of exercise room, San Francisco requires a great deal of walking. Truthfully, I never use the exercise rooms I just like the idea of having them.... More

Location of this hotel is the best part, room was dark with dark wood furnishings but a good size, A/C was ok, coffee in room but no fridge which was disappointing, bathroom was a good size, to get to the room you had to go past reception through the garage entrance and up to the floor via the lift which... Stayed here for three nights and we could say, we had just a pretty average experience with them. Pros - LOCATION. Plenty of transportation options just round the corner to get you to the usual tourist spots -- Fisherman's Wharf, Golden Gate, etc. We were also given a corner room which was very spacious for 4 people. Airconditioning was working... More

Never again with Travelodge. The first room we were shown had a bathroom so small you had to step in the tub to close the door if you were average size. The second room was passable but not a room with a kitchenette as was indicated in the hotel description. When asked about that we were told that some rooms... More

Booked this hotel with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Check in worried me at first because of the unforgettable smell of curry. (Someone must have cooked before we arrived as there was no smell anywhere else). Regardless, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to check in early, check out late, and... I was pleased with the location, but disappointed in our room. We were not told we would have a handicap room right night to the office and smoking section. Requested any floor but the bottom...was told this was the only room available. Requested a senior discount, or AAA...denied. Handicap bathroom is dangerous. Slippery tile in an out of shower.

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
