Very good location, close to the Marina. Large, clean rooms. Nice reception. The breakfast is not the best, but there is always enough food. Free wifi but connection is too slow.

Great location - close to Fisherman's Wharf, Marina district. Rooms were spacious, staff was excellent, breakfast in the morning was tasty. This is one of the few hotels were you actually get a Queen bed (not a double). If you are driving, there are 3 parking lots (either free or really cheap) and the hotel is right on a main... More

Even though staff was freindly and helpful, that does not overshadow the outrageous rate for this very tired hotel. No Frig, or micorwave in room our hair dryer had to be replaced when it caught on fire. Not a bad location several blocks from fishermans warf but breakfast was only coffe watered down juice some yogurt cups toast and mini... More

This Hotel is very nice and very well located. We could walk the Pier back to the Hotel and we are not exactly good runners. The crooked part of Lombard Street is very close, as the Street Car stop is. The way is very steep but is fun :) Our room was nice, clean and well equipped. The only room... More

Stayed November with a family of 5. Being a Travelodge, we were expecting no frills motel style accommodation, and this is what we got. Rooms are small without being cramped, however the cheaper rooms have bathrooms as big as a handkerchief. You do get a fridge and tv though, however the tv signal is rebroadcasted, so you can't use the... More

Really pleased with our 3 day stay here. A lovely room with good facilities apart from an unpredictable tap! Travellers tips: 1) pick up the Big Bus tour at the stop 2 blocks down in Lombard Street by the Buena Vista Hotel 2) 25 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf via Van Ness, North Point Street and cut through Ghiardelli Square.... I was in town for a business meeting on Thursday. I also decided to stay and watch a football game Sunday. The staff was very helpful deciding easiest ways of travel. Breakfast was basic as expected. The only negative was hearing other people's door. Be it shutting or someone knocking. I will stay here again.

Where to start... As mentioned in a previous review, we stayed when a large group of Mexican students arrived late at night with no respect or regard to other guests. We tried to ignore the constant screaming, shouting, slamming of doors and noise until at 2am we couldn't stand it anymore. It didn't help that our first night checking in... More

We sincerely apologize in behalf of the group for the inconvenience they had caused you during your stay. It was something we tried to control, but in circumstances dealing with drunk people, there is not much we can do as we all know when people are drunk. We hope your experience will not deter any plans to come back and... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
