This is a decent location for the price. Upper floor room near the front had some street noise, but turning on the fan drowned that out. The lady at the front desk has plenty of good information, but isn't shy about saying you're out of luck if there's a problem. I was overcharged $20 for my room. Tough luck, Charlie.... More

The location earns a 5 - very close to Fisherman's Wharf and a block away from bus and cable car stops. However $235/night rate for an outdated and musky smelling room earns it a 1. That's why I am averaging to a 3. Don't stay in room 223 - it is next door to the supply room and staff slams... More

My family and I enjoyed this last visit very much, this hotel had a very nice room with two toilets and one shower, double Windows you can open and nice size TV, coffee maker and a small refrigerator, nice comfy beds, very roomy, parking available for a fee, but really no need for a car, only 3 blocks away from... The hotel is ok. and it works if you are just looking for a place to sleep. We were out all day!! The bedroom was comfy and clean, but a bit smelly. Employees were really kind, they even provide us with a room four our rental bikes (with no cost) since we were told they get stolen all the time.... More

Only disappointment was that parking was $17 a night and we had been told it was free. Still a good deal for SF and the location! Wish breakfast had more variety. Terry at the desk was great!

The room was sufficient, breakfast was adequate and the location was great. Good value for money as it was walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, no problem getting onto ferry for Alcatraz and we even walked to China Town via the crookest street ! Walking distance to buses too. The downside was a rather unfriendly male staff at reception. The ladies... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
