From the second I arrived at the doors of the Prescott Hotel, I knew I had made the right choice. Welcomed in by a friendly doorman, our check-in was then handled quickly and efficiently, and although we were offered additional items for our stay, this was not done in a pushy manner. Our room was spacious, with plenty of drawer... more

Hotel entrance and service from front desk was outstanding, loction was brilliant, then we got to our room. It was dull, lifeless with old dark furniture. bed was ok but you got the impression that the room was only cleaned in the places you could see. Down the side of the bedside table in between the bed it was thick... more

I loved it - Tasteful remodeled historic Hotel with modern amenities. We spent 3 nights at the Prescott were was very impressed. Beautiful furnished big room with Heavenly Kingbed & a nice, huge Bath room. The Front desk personal was very friendly and helpful. Be sure to go for dinner in the Restaurant from Wolfgang Puck, we was lucky to... more

Small room, smaller bathroom, shabby decor, lots of corridor noise. Big problem over free/not free breakfast: most unpleasant. We'll go elsewhere next trip. more

The Prescott provides (for an extra charge) a delightful cocktail hour and good breakfast. Concierge was helpful, location very good. The restaurant had good food but was overpriced with small portions. The room was small and had a view of a brick wall. We reserved a handicapped room at the Hotel Prescott and were told a wheelchair would await us.... more

Concierge is totally up with local restaurant scene. Hotel building is a bit old and creaky but my inside room on the sixth floor was quiet and comfortable. more

I've stayed in a lot of Kimptons, and this one ranks near the bottom. The other Kimptons in the area, and several other hotels, are generally better. Nothing was terribly wrong, but the same ho-hum experience could have been had at a $60, anonymous hotel. I was in their regular queen room, an I believe the experience would have been... more

I was attending a seminar in the city and decided to stay overnight. The location was central to where my meetings were and the local restaurants recommended by the staff surpassed my expectations. The evening cocktail reception was a pleasant way to end a hctic day. While there I met some fellow travellers who shared their experiences. They too were... more

Dear Cate25, I was pleased to read that you were able to unwind from your hectic day and that your short visit was comfortable. We hope you will return for a longer visit and the focus will be more leisure rather than work.

Well, after reading the other reviews I was really worried about booking, however, booked it on TZOO, for $99.oo nad then upgraded to club level for another 30, well, I must say we got a steal, the club level had an open bar including my favorite California "Champagne" and an awesome cheese "bar" and served hot pizza and it included... more

Dear chellandmike, I am always inspired by reviews like yours. Whereby guests are apprehensive to book based on some reviews but leave with raves review and some honest feedback of course. The Prescott was one of the very first boutique hotels to offer a club level and the same server is still here 20 years later, remembering past guests names...

First class service and accommodations. I've stayed at San Franisco hotels at twice the price and half the value. Almost every luxury and convenience is provided (we could have used a coffee maker in the room). Not much view but excellent location near cable cars, BART, Union Square. Could do wireless Internet right in room. Nice breakfast. Morning newspaper at... more
