I stayed at the Prescott after reading the reviews online and was not disappointed. My room was lovely, staff could not have been more friendly and helpful and the wine reception was a real treat every night. Excellent location just along the road from Union Square. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting SF for any reason. I... more

My girlfriend and I had a blast staying at the Prescott. The staff was great and helped up get around the city. Our room (Deluxe King Suite) was comfortable and well kept. We had a great time in the city and Union Square is right around the corner. We walked down thru Chinatown and to the waterfront on a nice... more

We have been coming to the Prescott for years and have never been disappointed with the hotel or its staff. The location is within walking distance to Union Square (shopping) and fine dining. We stayed at the Prescott on Super Bowl Sunday and were disappointed to learn upon our arrival that Wolfgang Puck's restaurant Postrio, which shares space with the... more

This is my first stay at The Prescott and, once again, I am extremely happy to have stayed at another Kimpton hotel. I first selected a Kimpton hotel, 6 years ago, for its pet-friendly policy (and no extra pet fees) when I was traveling cross-country on business with my two large dogs. I did not have my dogs this trip,... more

Staff was excellent - young and attentive. Morning coffee and afternoon happy hour was nice. Room was fine, but furniture and fixtures showing some wear - simple things that should be fixed. PLEASE NOTE - cell phone coverage in my room, and many areas of the hotel, was NON-Existent. I needed to stand on the sidewalk to make my calls. more

Very nice hotel. Breakfast was very good. Cocktail hour was good. The bed was very comfortable. Room was small, but I believe that's a common thing in San Francisco. Close to public transportation, which was nice. more

The Prescott is in desperate need of an update. Don't be fooled by the lobby. It is dark and dusty, needs new carpets and a paint job, even on the "club level" floors. The club level is actually located in a separate building so be ready to be confused by having to take the elevator to 4 in the main... more

Customer service was good, but the rooms are pretty small, the bed is not as high as any other hotel bed I've seen. Also, outside of the bathroom, I was only able to to find one set of electrical outlets and it was not easy to reach. There was also no shower cap (pretty standard at hotels). The floor creaked... more

Dear simktho, We appreciate the feedback regarding service and in particular placement of the plugs. With regard to shower caps, we recognize ther are many standard items that guests need. These items are included in our Forgot It We Got It program which is listed in all guest bathrooms. Sincerely,

Stayed here for 3 nights and was sad to leave! The staff in the hotel were extremely friendly and service was fantastic! paid extra to stay on the "club" level and it was well and truely worth it! The evening cocktail reception was fabulous, a fantastic opportunity to meet people and have a chat after a long day of sight... more
