I arrived after booking through Booking.com to find there were no rooms available, they moved us to their sister hotel the Inn on Broadway which would be described as dubious at best. Room had a strange pungent smell and what looked liked blood on the carpet. I would avoid the Nob Hill Hotels if you want a fair standard of... More

We spent two nights in this inn before flying back home. Receptionist did all he could to meet our request: a spacious room on the top floor, far from the street. Beds were excellent, room was clean, WIFI worked fine. Continental breakfast is miserable but we knew it having stayed here before. This is not the main point for us.... More

Upon arrival we were advised that they had not received our 'booking.com' booking and were full. We were referred to a sister hotel, Inn on Broadway and, on arrival at that property the check-in clerk helpfully advised that "We always take the over-bookings for Nob Hill Motor Inn". Avoid if you can!!

We've stayed at the Colombus Motor Inn several times, amd have really liked it. they were full, so we tried the Nob Hill. The woman at the desk said our requested "quiet room" wasn't ready (at 4:00), and gave us a room on the street, with major constuction going on. Loud jackhammering at all hours. The room had a nasty... More

I found this place the morning I was driving up to San Francisco. We checked in late after checking out the town and was upgraded to a family suite because there were no single rooms left. No complaints here! Rooms were nice and clean. Bed was okay for hotel. Tv didn't have hbo as advertised but did have other cable... More

Nob Hill Motor Inn in San Francisco is a decent hotel to stay in and at a good price in expensive San Fran. The front staff is helpful and one lady (didn't get her name) was fantastic and went over and above. The room was out dated but clean, there is a fridge, microwave and coffee in room which is... Not being familiar with a motor iinn, it proved to be just what we wanted, a central clean comfortable room which was serviced with fresh towels every day and a breakfast provided for collection each morning. All facilities worked. It was a great location quite and easy to get to a regular bus which took us where ever we wanted... More

I stayed at the motel recently for three nights with my two sons. It was perfect for us, the location is about 15 min walk from Fisherman's Walk and we appreciated the exercise and getting to know the neighborhood. Free parking is great is you have a car, also the WiFi in the rooms was a bonus. We didn't take... More

My husband reserved 2 nights at this hotel from hotel tonight. We came in late and tired and ready to go to sleep. They told me the hotel was all booked up and we had to go to a sister hotel called the Inn on Broadway. This turned out to be a horrible place in a sketchy block. The room... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
