The hotel is in a quieter section town midway between the major tourist areas of Fisherman's Wharf and Union Square, so it was quieter and a bit more residential. Easy access to the numerous Van Ness Ave buses, Hyde Street cable car, and cross-town buses. This is a low-budget, motor inn. My room was adequate, decent-sized for a city but... More

This hotel is moderately priced (for San Francisco). Great location within walking distance of Fisherman's wharf (1.5 miles downhill). If you want you can walk to the wharf and get a cab back. The breakfast isn't exactly the best--just some donuts and coffee. I will stay the font office staff makes up for any shortages. They offered to let me... More

Friendly staff. Clean - but bathroom smelled - needs a good bleach douse-down. And the bedding really needs updating. Owners need to watch just 1 episode of hotel impossible. With so many options, if I visit SF again I would select another; costs varied HUGE from Friday night stay to Monday night stay (like double).

This motor inn is excellent in all respects, but we want to emphasize the location because we use public transportation when visiting San Francisco. The muni lines on Van Ness will take you quickly to the civic center for connection points to many locations. And the staff is very friendly and helpful in making plans.

Thankfully easy to locate in the centre of San Francisco with ample covered parking. The room I stayed in was large and clean and although it was located towards the road it wasn't affected by road traffic noise, not that the road is actually that busy anyway. The inn is nicely positioned within walking distance of many of the popular... More

We stayed here 2 nights in a suite. The room was large and open. Did have to scoot the mattress on the bed over a couple of inches so the sofa bed would open completely. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Free parking in a covered garage was a huge plus. If the lot is full at night, you can double... More

We have stayed 2 nights at Nob Hill Model on May 2015.Clean rooms, free parking (big deal in SF), nice small breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. Not far away walking from most touristic places. Sam

Stayed for 2 nights, found a very clean and large superior room with a huge comfy bed and immaculate sheets, an individual shower unit and a large wardrobe. Best wifi connection we'd had so far, and Roberto on reception was so helpful.throughout, even helping us with buses and car rentals! Would not hesitate to rebook. To respond to comments about... One of the main reasons we chose to stay here was the free parking, which was great for us. The location is okay, realistically a 15 minute walk to the main attractions, if not further. Breakfast consisted of a donut, which was beyond disappointing. Room was confartable and clean, only downside was on the final night when I was woken... More

The headline says it all. Parking was included. We enjoyed our 3 days in San Fransisco. The breakfast was only cookies and danish with coffee and the. If just there had been even some plain bread or cereals it would have been a star more

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
