Small European Like Hotel Room. Very clean! My Wife and I were here to enjoy the Super Bowl Festivities. Complimentary coffee and rolls in the morning. We were half a block from the Moscone Convention Center, half a block from Market Street. Four blocks away from Super Bowl City. Staff was friendly and helpful. We look forward to our next... More

Teeny rooms! When they call it a "European-style hotel" they are not kidding. And many rooms--the cheaper ones, anyway--are not ensuite. Who cares? The hall showers and bathrooms are spotless, you get robes and a shower caddy of toiletries to use, good wifi, tv in the room, ceiling fans. I found the bed and bedding really nice, the pillow just... More

Amazing location, right by the centre of everything. Just around the corner from Union Square 2 minute walk from the cable cars that took you to Fisherman's Wharf. The room was small but not a problem as didnt spend much time at all in there. Shared bathroom was always clean and tidy. No waiting to use it. Staff were friendly.... More

I loved my room! It was cozy but well-appointed and efficient. My bed and pillows were comfortable and the old-fashioned radiator kept the room toasty. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Great location, too. Would stay there again!

I stayed in The Mosser for two weeks while looking for a studio apartment around the city. The staff were always friendly, gracious, and helpful. Room came with toiletries and amenities complemented with travellers' needs. Restaurants and food court were a couple of minutes walk away, not to mention the Bart(public transport)'s also only couple minutes away by foot. All... More

Please be aware that some rooms have a shared bath! Many people show up and aren't aware of this. Overall, it was clean with a bit of a musty odor that all old hotels acquire. The rooms were of adequate size although the lighting was lacking. No ventilation so things get a bit stuffy. The windows were single pane and... More

Okay.. I messed up.. I booked this hotel through Expedia but didn't see that I was booking a room with a shared bathroom. I checked in and was shocked but they had no other rooms to offer me. I wanted to NOT like this hotel. But really, the staff were exceptional! The rooms were clean and well-appointed, although small and... More

This was a budget hotel so we (me and my partner) weren't expecting much; and it's a bit of a shame as the staff were nice and friendly. Alas, the room was so small you needed to navigate the bed to move around, the fan (no aircon) made a tiny draught in a room that was roasting, so we couldn't... More

The Mosser has become my go-to hotel whenever I come to San Francisco (usually once every other month or so). The hotel is very clean and well kept - rooms are small but definitely a good value for the price. The free wifi and coffee in the mornings are nice bonuses as well. :)

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
