All I can say is the hotel and staff are nice but unless you stand four feet or shorter and weigh less than eighty pounds, this teeny, tiny hotel room is not for you. It's not big enough for a single person let alone a couple. It's not worth the daily price unless you're desperate.

The location is as central as it can get, a minute's walk from Powell St. BART station. Rooms are small (normal in this area) but very clean and thoughtfully designed. Economically priced (considering that hotels in SF are expensive anyway). Even the cheaper rooms with shared bath don't seem like a bad deal at all because I did use the... More

I have stayed in many San Francisco hotels over the years. I got a very nice deal on Groupon to stay at The Mosser. It is old but very clean. We had a deluxe queen room wig a bathroom. Some rooms have shared bathrooms in the hall. The room was small but had everything we needed. I would recommend the... More

We have just spent three nights at the Mosser Hotel. We really enjoyed our stay. It is in a great location - close to shopping and all the sights. We were impressed with the housekeeping as well. Our room was immaculate. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

This is the second time I stay in this hotel. Small room, but this time I got a room without the toilet attached. Less convenient. But just to stay a night for business, it's fine. Definitely clean. Staffs are helpful.

The Mosser is located at the corner of 4th and Market st. Just across the street of the Marriott Hotel and one block away from Moscone Center. The rooms are very cosy, well decorated, not too big but enough room to move around. Very silent. They serve coffee, milk and muffins as much as you want as breakfast so is... More

I'll be coming back to The Mosser on all my visits to SF! Location is a 5 minute walk from the Bart (Powell) exit and not a far walk at all to the middle of Union Square. Staff was very friendly and helpful... No problems there. My room was small but clean, great for the price!

The Mosser is literally across the street from the Marriott Marquis door, and the Mosser is much less expensive, and perfectly fine. The Mosser is old, the rooms are tiny (not even a drawer to put your things in). But, the place is clean, friendly, convenient and a great value. if you are attending at conference at the Marriott, but... More

If you don't plan on spending a lot of time in your room, this place is probably fine. The rooms are very small, which is fine but the beds are on the hallway wall and you can hear absolutely everything! Also, I seemed to have a fruit fly problem in my bathroom. On the flip side, the location is great... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
