Date of stay: Several times since 2005 “I almost hate to give away my ‘secret place.’ TheMosser is an independent family-owned property in the heart of SFO. Located on 4th Street at Market, directly across from the Marriott, but at about one third the cost. It’s a very short walk to the BART and cable car turn-around. But best of... More

i have stayed at the mosser twice and found it on both occasions to be have gr8 value, location and service. the staff was very responsive to me when my needs changed and after inadvertently checking out and leaving my phone charger in the room, i received a cheerful phone call about 30 minutes later informing of this at which... This is a really quirky hotel, so I had a difficult time rating it. There are many shortcomings, including having just one slow elevator for the entire building, no A/C, tiny rooms, paper thin doors and ceilings, terrible pillows, and lots of road noise. Also, some of the rooms did not have an en suite bath, but rather utilized a... More

I used to always stay at the Intercontinental on business, but have now switched to the Mosser. I like that it's cozy and friendly. The rooms are quite small but clean. It's equally convenient to Moscone. The staff is great. This hotel has character. I've rated it a 4 in the past, but on this recent visit, I decided to... More

I stayed in The Mosser on my first trip to San Francisco. I felt that the location was perfect and easy accessible by public transportation. Shopping is all around and the area felt very safe to walk around. The hotel seems newly updated and although we had a room with a shared bathroom, we never saw any other guests using... More

Stayed at The Mosser over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2013. This hotel is steps away from Union Square and everything else is accessible from transit which is right out the door on Market St. It's a smartly reno'd "historic" hotel so the rooms are small, but very comfortable. You have the option of booking a room with a washroom... More

I stay here each time I visit the City, which is every six months, and I stay at The Mosser. I enjoy the location and convenience to everything. The rooms are clean, and the staff are professional and friendly. They are very willing to be helpful, and accommodating.

An old building with modern rooms. The nature if the building means the rooms are a small but they make great use of space. Modern furniture & fittings, clean rooms and friendly staff. When we required extras or ordered our car the staff were very attentive. Located a 10minute walk from pier 1 which leads onto a lovely walk upto... More

This hotel is located a block from Union Square and public transportation; you really can't beat that! Also, the valet parking for a car was only around $40 and that is a great price for the city. The hotel staff were great and so courteous. The free breakfast is just coffee and muffins, but you can't beat free. :-) The... More
