August while hot in most of the country can be a little chilly in SF. You need a heavy Jacket and long pants because of the fog that rolls in very thick. If you don't you'll be running to one of those kiosks that sell SF stuff and buying sweats and jackets. This happened to me while staying at the... more

Marriott was very nice. It had extremely comfortable beds and was very clean. The location was fabulous. It was only 1 block away from the Cable cars, and was easy walking distance to the wharf. Only knock was there really was no place in the lobby to sit and visit with anyone. They had a lobby bar, that was OK,... more

I was so close to places we wanted to go. They even helped us choose places to go and places to eat. The price of the room were good priced for how close we were to big attractions. more

Great location near lots of good restaurants. Although I was only in SFO a day for 24 hours on a business trip, the hotel was 1-2 blocks from everywhere I needed to go. I was able to get a bit of sightseeing in. Rooms were great. The bed was very comfortable and I slept better than at home. more

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is very clean. I think it was just remodeled. They were painting the outside, which was not bothersome. It is a typical Marriott, albeit a bit on the small side. Front desk was very nice except for one older, surly guy. Also, they do not have safes in the... more

This is the first time I have taken my family to San Fransisco so wanted excellent quality and price. I got both. The hotel was very clean, staff helpful and friendly. The room was exactly what I had asked for and had linen changed daily. I used the hotel computer to confirm my flight seats and printed my boarding passes... more

It couldn't have been a better location if you like a little more touristy area, which we do. After all, we ARE tourists! We love walking, so we very seldom had to use the car, except to go to Golden Gate Park and the Painted Ladies Victorian houses. It was a wonderful experience in a beautiful hotel. The only downside... more

Roooms: newly remodeled, comfortable beds, LCD TV, nice decor. Close to cable cars, and bus line in front of hotel. If you can get a good rate, this hotel is certainly worth staying in. But, having said that, the other Marriott hotels in the city are nicer. I found it odd that the main hotel restaurant was closed at dinner.... more

The room was not very clean, no amenities and could not get heater to turn to cooler. High cost place with low quality. more
