We stayed in the Mandarin Oriental for 3 nights. We were only supposed to stay for 2 nights, but because of our flight being cancelled, we got to enjoy a 3rd night. The hotel had us move on the 3rd night because our wonderful room with a view of Coit Tower and the Oakland bridge was reserved. No problem, we... More

I work right around the corner from the Mandarin Oriental and stayed 1 night last month because of a work function. The 750/night price tag is hard to swallow but I was excited for the views and top notch service. There were a few kinks in service starting from the moment I walked in (after check in time) and my... More

After a night crashing at a budget hotel in San Fran for the start of our honeymoon we checked in at the M.O San Francisco. We were made to feel very welcome here in what was a wonderful way to begin our honeymoon. We had a Deluxe City View Room which of course had an incredible view of the City.... More

SF hotels are very mixed. I finally had occasion to stay at the MO. It is very conveniently located to any business meeting downtown (walking distance). Service is consistent with what I experienced in the MO is HK, which is excellent. And beyond that, my room was amazing. Corner unit with full views. I wish I could have captured it... More

as far as mandarin hotels go... This one is the most forgettable. The lobby, bar and such were very blah. The elevators took forever! The room was spacious but and very outdated and boring. The view from the 42 floor was amazing though! It was beautiful for sunset and at night

MO San Francisco is located on the third tallest building in downtown. Rooms are in the 38th to 48th floors with amazing views over the city. Our room was a Mandarin King with spectacular Golden Bridge to Bay Bridge views. Rooms are elegantly decorated in neutral tones not to compete with the view. Lovely and large bath and super comfortable... More

Lovely hotel with amazing views of San Francisco. The entrance, lobby, and restaurant/bar areas are all very nice. The hotel/bar is expensive, but what you would probably expect. The food and drink quality was very good, and the staff was excellent. There was a long wait for the 2 elevators, especially when there were crowds in the hotel. The room... More

Great room. The staff always works to make each stay memorable. So many hotels close dining room on Sunday. MO keeps the Brsserie open and as the only diner, I am sure it is open to keep the property a five star experience. The hotel has been ranked as one of the best and in SF, I agree. The bed... More

Wish I could give a 3.5. It was a nice stay -- we stayed 4 nights. But, I don't understand the hype. The location is good. The service was good. Our room was tiny with a giant bathroom. The rooms are so high -- that the water pressure in the showers is pretty low. Our room was right by the... More

Stayed at Room # 4007 Superior Bay View; Avg rate $521 (MO Essentials) includes Continental breakfast and parking. Outstanding Service. Excellent accommodations. Nice view. Huge bathroom. Excellent gym. Nice touches: night turning down fills the ice buckets and place 1 bottle of water each side of the bed. No charge for internet (for members, I guess). Parking: $62/night (seems to...
