Stayed here for our first wedding anniversary and had very high hopes. The service is highly attentive, but it's made quite obvious that this is to gain a tip, which was a little uncomfortable. We stayed in the bridge to bridge room - it was smaller than we imagined, with neutral, business like decor, and a lovely bathroom. The bed... More

Stayed in bay and bridge room thankfully -as the only redeeming feature of room was view. The decor was the essence of bland mixed distilled with insipidity. Great service and location for business but this is not a great choice for a holiday unless you want to be reminded of work.

We stayed here twice in September having overbooked it as part of a tour of California. The bay and bridge view rooms are no doubt pricey but you get what you pay for. The staff are charming and very helpful, particularly Brian on the Concierge desk. Where they have not got everything right is in the kitchen. On our first... More

For a recent milestone birthday celebration, my wife and I decided to live it up in the city for a weekend - stay at a nice hotel and enjoy the great restaurants the city has to offer. The Mandarin is a bit of a splurge from a cost perspective, but even without the spectacular views it is worth every nickel.... More

We stayed here during our four day visit to San Francisco. View was outstanding, great location very close to restaurants and sights. Our room was spacious and comfortable with amazing bed and spacious clean bathroom.

We had four nights at this hotel recently. It was a great experience. The service and check in procedure worked well. The room, on level 47, was nice although quite small. The room was very clean and had really good housekeeping service, world class. The view from our room was great, I would recommend a room at the top levels... More

Recently spent three great nights at this property. I found my stay to be outstanding and would pick this property again over both the St. Regis and the Four Seasons. Location: The hotel is located in the Financial District. I personally find the Financial District to be the perfect location for me as it's away from the tourist crowd around... More

The service was excellent from start to finish, from check-in to check-out and everything in between. We were often greeted by name. There was a bottle of champagne waiting for us upon check in to celebrate our anniversary as well as a special dessert at breakfast. The breakfasts were great each day. I apppreciated the chance to use the house... More

From the moment we arrived at Mandarin Oriental, we knew we'd have a pleasant stay, from the door person to the room staff, everyone was most attentive and friendly. Addressing us by our last name was very personal and appreciated. I love the room (43rd floor) with Bay views), the very comfortable and soft bed, (after a long and cramped... More

Fantastic views from 44th floor, fab room and spacious bathroom nicely appointed, staff were excellent from doorman to valet parking, to desk staff, to housekeeping. Just a most wonderful choice in all respects. Also very close to Market Street and Embarcadero piers.
