We have stayed in a number of Mandarin Oriental properties around the world. The SF property definitely maintains the highest quality standards of the others we have stayed in. The service was oustanding. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. The view from our room on the 45th floor was spectacular and the room itself elegant. The in bathroom amenities... more

This was our first trip to San Francisco and part of a 3 centre trip to the West Coast. The MO provided us with one of the most memorable introductions to the city, we arrived by BART from the airport and emerged into the downtown area during a busy Friday lunchtime and it appeared like most cities. On arriving at hotel... more

As a Bay Area local looking for a romantic getaway, the Mandarin Oriental was the perfect choice. It is centrally located, within walking distance of some favorite restaurants and sites. It is tucked away and quiet. The service is superb. The suite was beautifully decorated and generously sized. And the views were stunning. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel for... more

The views from this hotel were amazing. We stopped many times just to look and enjoy them. The afternopon tea brought to the room was a welcome touch. However, the room was quite small for two people, but the bathroom was nice. If it had been mroe than one night, it would have felt cramped. I'd also recommend this more... more

Absolute perfection, even without a typically imposing lobby and bar area. The rooms, staff and view are as close to perfect as is possible. The 48th floor view, the sky bridge and the concierge's assistance made this the best hotel of our trip. A+. more

I would stay in a Mandarin Oriental in any city - as always top class staff that were very welcoming - check-in a little slow as i had arrived early but they found me a room within 10 minutes - not much of a view, but very nice room - great size, bright and airy - big bed, lots of... more

We stayed for one night in a bay-to-bay room. We did not want to leave! We could not fault the hotel in any respect. The courtesy of the staff and the cleaniness of the room were all of the highest standard. The only slight downside was the 20 minute walk to downtown. Room service and extras are expensive, but you... more

The best part about this hotel is the view from the room. We stayed in the king bayview room, which had a view of the bay bridge and also alcatraz. The view was superb, especially when retiring on the day bed after a long day. The rooms itself, are showing a bit of wear and tear and are not particularly... more

Flew up to San Francisco for a quick 2 night stay with 2 simple objectives: 1) to see the Georgia O'Keeffe/Ansel Adams and Richard Avedon exhibits at the SFMOMA, and 2) to sample the many culinary offerings at the Ferry Building. Both the museum and Ferry Building are near Market St., as are several BART subway stops (we would be... more

I stayed for 3 nights in a king bayview room . The third night free promotion made it a little more affordable. Everything about the hotel was first class but the view of the bay from my 38th floor room was sensational. I don't know why they don't put that view on their website as it is not possible to... more
