The Mandarin Oriental in San Francisco is located in a nice quiet area, yet walkable to china town and only minutes to the cable cars. The room was VERY nice (for their standard room) and VERY clean! The hotel is a tall building so it works in your favor as far as views. The only thing I would recommend they... more

Since we usually stay at the Mandarin Oriental in NYC, we thought we'd try it on this visit to San Francisco. It is smaller than the one in New York and is quieter as well. The hotel seems to start at about the 40th floor so all the views are fabulous. We could see from the Golden Gate all the... more

Exceptional service. The concierge will respond to your every request very promptly and eagerly. I was very impressed with how they responded when I asked if they could get a rental car for me. Within 20 minutes there was one waiting outside the hotel and I just had to sign the contract and take the keys. If you like to... more

This is a hard to find hotel in the financial district. When I arrived the bellman said " you couldn't park there." I said "what I am checking in this hotel" he said "you are going to get a ticket.. " I said "Can I get my baggage out of my car?".. Finally I went to another bellman and said... more

My husband and I just got back from a quick stay at the Mandarin Oriental in SF and we loved it!! The service from hotel staff was courteous with exceptional attention to detail, the decor was beautiful, the room was incredibly clean and our "Bridge to Bridge" view room on the 42nd floor was AMAZING!! And the beds were really... more

My partner and I just spent 3 days in the Mandarin Oriental in San Francisco. We absolutely loved the hotel and the location was perfect......very central, in walking distance to Market Street. Our room on the 39th floor had a spectacular bay view, the room itself was not too big and had a bit of a weird L-shape but nevertheless... more

The first and primary reason for booking into the Mandarin San Francisco has to be for its views. I took a Bay View room on the 40th floor (there are 8 more floors above that) and the vistas were simply spectacular. You can stand for hours taking it all in - Alcatraz Island, Golden Gate Bridge, Coit Tower, they're all... more

I stayed here two nights after a week at the Omni as a 'treat' to myself. I'm sorry to say that my room here cost a lot more and offered a lot less. I won't make that mistake again. As with many high-end hotels, they nickeled and dimed you for everything. Room service was a rip off. Room was not... more

My husband and I stayed at the Mandarin Oriental for one night in the Mandarin King Bay room in SF. The rooms are nicely and elegantly decorated, and the windows are large and plentiful with good views of the city. I was dissapointed; however, that we did not recieve a room with views of the Golden Gate. I suppose I... more

This is one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had - stunning views of the city, top notch service, and very nice rooms with all of the amenities you would expect from a Mandarin Oriental. The courtesy car was a pleasant surprise and helped us save on taxi fares when going out to dinner at night. Highly, highly... more
