From the moment my teenage daughter and I arrived we were greeted with an amazing welcome. Check in was a smooth and easy process. Friendly staff and great service. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable, very quiet, with spectacular views of Alcatraz, The Transamerica Building and The Golden Gate Bridge. Great location. Quick walk to Market Street. I can’t say... More

We stayed in a bridge to bridge king for one night in June. It only had a King bed so we asked for a rollaway (extra charge) before our stay and it was made up and ready on our late arrival. We also asked for a late checkout, also available for an extra charge of half a day's rate, useful... More

I visited here in February when it was still Mandarin Oriental. The views of the Golden Gate bridge and Alcatraz were amazing. The rooms were a decent size and the bathroom was large and spacious. The location was very central, we could walk to restaurants and shopping areas. Be sure to ask for a view of the bridge so you... More

Service was great in particular the concierge team who for each enquiry would print out maps, make our bookings for us and print out pages of local 'must visit/do/eat' information. We stayed on the 38th floor in a corner room, 3802 I think - the '02' rooms are a corner suite and therefore 3 sets of large windows to see... More

We've moved to Loews Regency after very disappointing experience in hotel Zetta and that was excellent choice! Great quiet location in few meters from Market street, excellent staff, clean rooms with fantastic views! So I would highly recommend Loews Regency to anybody looking for high level of service and comfort.

We stay at this hotel often when visiting SF. Previously it was a Mandarin Oriental and we worried recently that we would be disappointed when we went to book and saw that it was now a Loews. No worry. We walked in and saw the same familiar faces from our many previous visits. The rooms and the views are still... More

the view from the room was spectacular. However, at these prices, a bathroom mirror whose bulbs flickered for three days (and evidently couldn't be fixed), and a stained rug are not acceptable. Neither, I would think, is the absence of a coffee maker. The hotel itself is attractive, the staff courteous and the restaurant - for breakfast - was good.

This hotel has the beautiful view (365) of San Francisco and is situated in the Financial District giving you complete access (by foot or otherwise) to restaurants, entertainment, historical places, and Piers 1 through 50. We had the Bay Bridge view. Usually it is the Golden Gate View. However our room did not have fog until later in the day.... More

My wife an I spent a night in the Loews Regency and we couldn't have been happier with the stay. We mentioned in our reservation was for our 17th anniversary and we received an upgraded suite, with absolutely spectacular views of all three San Francisco bridges, the Transamerica building, and the blue-lit Coit Tower. The bed was comfy as a... More

This was the last leg of our tour through California and was a great way to finish. We had both good, OK and poor hotel experiences along the way, but the Loews San Francisco was truly exceptional. Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
