We were looking for a hotel near the University of San Francisco to drop-off our son (who was attending his first year) and stumbled upon the Lauren Inn. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Denise, in particular was very helpful. ** Another plus, the "Laurel" was relatively close (proximity-wise) to Trader Joes, Best Buy and Target (Star Bucks). Our... More

We stayed at The Laurel Inn because of a recommendation. My daughter just started college nearby and we needed a close hotel. This hotel is small and quaint. We checked in a little late and by that time there was no parking on the top level. Tanya at the front desk said she would move her car so we could... More

I've wanted to stay here for years but it semed to always be full, so I was ecstatic to find a room. I stayed over a weekend, August 1st to the 3rd. There were three problems I feel I should mention. We were in room 103 and the bathroom was very tiny; the toilet seemed to be shoehorned into the... More

Wonderful ambience! Friendly welcoming staff ! Wonderful bed, sheets and comforters ! Love the renovation taking place. Excellent view of the city. Quiet ! Only issue would be to add to the continental breakfast . The delicious roll is not quite enough

I have been traveling to SF for years, but I couldn't find my "place" to stay. Stumbled upon the Laurel Inn website last year while looking for a hotel in this part of town. I am so glad I did. It's quiet, clean, and a very friendly helpful staff. The price is affordable and they have covered parking too. It's... More

Quoted a rate of $395 a night. Gulp! But I was attending a wedding, so the 'wedding rate' was $245. Even then, I was shocked at the rate. San Francisco can be expensive, but these quotes were high. I took the 'wedding rate'. The hotel is in a good part of San Francisco, on Presidio, The hotel is very old.... More

Clean and comfortable. Probably could use a remodel soon, but not bad. Front desk personnel (especially Michael) are friendly and helpful. Parking is cheap and easy. Only a ten dollar cab ride to many sites, including San Francisco medical center.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Laurel Inn in the Laurel Heights area of San Francisco. We were traveling from the South Bay so we had a car and the Laurel Inn had great parking (two levels). The room was clean and modern-looking, though I felt the toilet and shower-head were too small. The bed was... More

The room is clean and nice. We booked a room with a nice little kitchen. The housekeeping staff cleaned our dishes every day. The free wifi was very fast. The hotel is not so conveniently located. It takes a 20-minute walk to the nearest cable car station. Booking.com says "breakfast included", but indeed they just provided croissants and coffee, and... More

We had a great week at the Laurel Inn. All The staff are wonderful, they couldn't do enough for us and were just lovely for a chat when we would return from our daily outings. it's a good area to walk in as shops and places to eat are so close, make sure you have breakfast or lunch at Ella's...
