We stayed here for four nights. The hotel is situated in a very central part of town but beware there is major building construction taking place next to the hotel and if your room faces the construction site, be prepared for noise. In addition the cost of valet car parking is $63 per day plus tips. This is very expensive.... More

Great service, reasonable price and fantastic resturant. Staff very welcoming, helpful and flexible in their approach. The room was a little small but had everything we needed. Great location for all sites in San Fran as well as shopping and restaurants.

I've had 5 hotel stays this month and I enjoyed EVERYTHING about my stay at the Taj Campton. The staff was great, every single person was friendly and helpful, from housekeeping to front desk to concierge. My room was great and I loved having a window that opened. Location is fantastic, room is nice, bed was comfortable. When I stay... More

The Taj Campton Place is very well located near many of the most popular San Francisco sights. As a Leading Hotel of the World, it had the classy appointments and extremely well trained staff that we always enjoy when we stay with this Group. Our room was near the elevator on a low floor, but very quiet nonetheless - even... More

The Taj Campton Place is a small (by Taj standards), gem of a hotel cozily situtated next to Union Square. It boasts of a unpretentious yet elegant lobby, very helpful staff , superb food and what is most important - unparalleled location. To top it all is the very attractive pricing structure. All in all a treat in San Francisco... More

The Taj Campton is a comfortable, well-appointed hotel in a busy part of San Francisco. Still, the Union Square location is a quiet change from the noise of the city. The staff was attentive without being overbearing and the room was comfortable. It would have been nice to have another table or chair in the room and the sliding bathroom... More

Excellent hotel. Great location. Very comfortable beds and rooms are very well designed. That said, the free wifi was very weak in my room and they tried to charge me for the third cup of tea I drank in room. It is quite uncommon to charge for the teas and coffees provided in room so I was rather surprised. They... More

Dear YiiYng, it was a pleasure having you with us and I thank you for your review. While I was happy to see your positive comments, I regretted reading of your disappointment with the internet and the charge for in-room coffee/tea. The basic complimentary internet is really for simply checking emails, not for serious surfing. We offer premium upgraded internet... More

Taj Campton Great Hotel, but beware of nearby construction! My husband and I stayed here for three night on the first leg of our 8 day visit to California. We were greeted immediately upon exiting the cab. Although we arrived several hours prior to check in, we were able to store our luggage. Once we got back and checked in,... More

Dear Dawn, Thank you for taking the time to write such a comprehensive review. We absolutely do have an enviably location with nearly everything within walking distance—China Town, 2 blocks away; the Ferry Building, approx. 10 blocks, and all the best stores right outside the door. Thank you too for mentioning Carlos as having been a special help. He was... More

The location is everything in this boutique hotel. We stayed here before and were happy we returned! The staff is among the best in the city as far as accommodating request and making you feel like your at home. Make sure to book an Executive suite on a floor higher than seven for the best rooms.

Originally planned to stay three nights but changed this to five and it was the best decision I have ever made. This is a small boutique hotel on the corner of Union Square so location is excellent for both shopping and to explore SF. But what makes this hotel special is the attention to detail and the staff. Nothing was... More
