I stayed in a large comfortable corner suite with a view acroos union square. The bed, furnishings and bathroom were all very comfortable. There was plenty of room, although cupboard storage was a little small given the generous space. Room services was excellent. I enjoyed breakfast on two mornings and dinner on two nights and found them to be very... More

the Taj is nicely situated near Union Square. The staff is generally knowledgeable and polite and the rooms adequate ( though by no means luxurious as drawer space was sorely lacking). I stayed 4 days during a busy weekend and left feeling a bit rooked for $700/ night: 1. The wifi barely worked. I normally kept my ipad on 3... More

Dear Robert G, I was so sorry to learn of your disappointment with your stay at Taj Campton Place. I suspect you were here during the time of the JP Morgan conference in San Francisco when all the major hotels are sold out and rates are the highest of the year. WiFi was a problem during that time as well.... More

Stayed here for four nights in April. The hotel is located next to the Union Station and there are many dining options in the area. The lobby is kind of small but beautifully decorated. Had two Deluxe rooms. I was surprised to see how the rooms were so different. Although they are of similar sizes, they have different layouts and... More

My stay at the Taj Campton was amazing to say the least. I had a slight hiccup due to booking through a 3rd party and them incorrectly booking things. After that was resolved the day before check-in, the rest was taken care of. The room was amazing to say the least. Very clean and king size bed. The view was... More

This is another great Taj property, located right in the heart of San Francisco. My room was gorgeous, very spacious, huge comfortable bed and lovely large bath. The staff is outstanding, there to help with anything. There is a great, dark wood bar and a wonderful dining room. I will definitely go back.

Not sure where to start... As a member of the Leader's Club (LC), I often book hotels on LHW.com. I did the same at the Taj in San Fran at the beginning of 2015, but this resulted in a rather bad experience. Upon check in, an unpleasant manager claimed that their system did not 'show' that the reservation had been... More

Dear Italian in Boston, I am so sorry that your check-in proved to be a challenge. In order for a member of Leaders Club to receive the benefits of membership, the guest must either show his membership card or for the hotel to have received a letter from LHW stating that fact. Because you had a last minute reservation, we... More

This was my third visit to SF and I chose the Taj Campton due to its location on Union Square. I had made reservations 6 months in advance and was very surprised to see that most hotels around Union square were already booked out or way to pricey ignorant of the fact thst a large medical convention was to take... I first stayed here almost ten years ago, and remembered the Campton Place as a small, charming and comfortable hotel. After years of staying at the bigger chain hotels, I recently returned and was delighted to find the same charming qualities, with the benefits of a Taj upgrade in service and standards. The service at reception was far above typical... More

Stayed here for a 2 day business trip. Service varied from average to brilliant - at most times not up to the Taj standard one expects. The room was small and cramped as well. I would rather stay at the Hyatt across the street next time.

Dear Teddy, Please accept my sincere apologies for not having provided the experience you had expected. Not knowing how you made your reservation, when you stayed or what room you occupied, it is difficult to explain the room assignment. We have a number of different room configurations with differing square footage and our lowest category of rooms does have the... More

Recently spent 2 nights at this property and was pleased with the location but the rooms were looking tired. Was travelling with my 84 year old Mother and was very difficult for her to use the shower due to the thickness of the tub,and height, I am only 50 and very fit, but found it difficult too.

Dear Barking1, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent stay with us and for giving us the opportunity to tell you a little more about our hotel. I can understand that getting in and out of the tub may have been a problem for your senior mother. Soaking tubs tend to be deep and sometimes... More
