We normally LOVE hyatts but this one was very disappointing to say the least. For one, the pool/hot tub closed at 9pm which is very early for a typical hotel in my experience. The staff was unwilling to accommodate and management would not allow us to remain in the pool area although other staff explained that we were allowed an... More

My wife and I wanted a good quality hotel in San Fran, mainly to get over jet lag before we moved on to the main part of our holiday elsewhere in California. After rejecting some cheaper alternatives, we plumped for the Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf, which at £220 per night for room only, was not cheap. Several problems when we... More

Stayed here to mix leisure (Fisherman's Wharf and shopping) with college visits in the bay area. Unpublicized construction disturbed operations. Parking was 4 blocks away and unreasonably expensive. Staff was unfriendly, unhelpful and unknowledgable. First room was the furthest possible from the elevator - very inconvenient. Reluctantly was allowed to change rooms. Luggage was not transferred - moved it myself.... More

The hotel was undergoing a renovation to their lobby so access was denied and we had to use an alternate route. However, the rooms are clean and recently upgraded. I would suggest asking for a room on the fifth floor as the third floor is where the SPA and Pool are located and the floor can be somewhat noisy at... More

Our stay at Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf was marred by noisy renovations and an absolutely dysfunctional valet parking system. While the staff was pleasant and listened to complaints, depositing and retrieving our car was endlessly aggravating and bad from the beginning to the end of our 3-night stay. A very disappointing experience that I would hate to repeat.

Well, it's going to be nice again. In a month or so. Not while we were there during spring break. Dusty, loud during day time 8am-6pm We had to go through a different maze every day, since they were remodeling different parts of the downstairs/lobby area. Since we weren't; there during day time it didn't really bother us, but there... More

It goes without saying that the location is fantastic. And the fact that it is a Hyatt means the overall experience should be better than average. The common areas were being renovated so it definitely lacked some polish, but the renovated rooms were very nice. My biggest complaint was that their parking was full when we arrived for check-in. So... More

The hotel was under renovation when we arrived and not once was there an apology for the inconvenience to guests. Access was via a side entrance to the hotel and the access to the lifts changed daily as decoration was ongoing. To get to the bar for an evening meal or to the breakfast area you had to leave the... Major renovation occurring during stay with no prior warming or discounting room and staff not apologetic for the situation. Dust particles everywhere causing soar throats and everyone had to walk around their conference rooms to get the main elevator bay. I switched over to the Marriott after 2 nights.
