You can't beat the location. It's just far enough off Market that you won't be bothered by the throngs of beggars when you step outside. Yet it is close enough to have some great restaurant options and coffee as well. The bed was very comfortable. My only complaint really is the smallish room. I understood the building was old but... We stay at the Harbor Court every year for B2B (this is our 10th year in a row) and we love it. Wine hour, cookies and milk at night, the nicest staff, the best restaurant next door (Ozumo) and Yank Sing across the street for dim sum are just a few of the attractions that keep us coming back. The... More

My son and I stayed at the Harbor Court. We booked directly with the hotel and, as Kimpton Karma members, we got all of the great perks like free wifi and a $10 mini bar credit. The room was very nice, but our favorite part was the immense lobby sitting area. There were various table games scattered about and a... More

We stayed in a king bay view room and the view was phenomenal -- Bay Bridge and the water directly out the window. The location of this hotel is also amazing as it's right on the Embarcadero so it's easy walking and quick access to public transit. The Ferry Building is practically next door and there are numerous restaurants within... More

This was my first experience staying at a Kimpton hotel. The overall cleanliness, comfort, service and decor is impeccable. The location and price could not have been better. I accepted an upgrade offer for a Queen with Bay View and was very happy I did. The view was great and the room was spacious and comfortable. When in SF I... More

You can't beat this location for seeing a game at AT&T park! Nice hotel and great staff! It is an easy walk to the ballpark with lots of great restaurants all around. The pier across street with view of Bay Bridge is awesome. The short walk to Ferry Bldg is fun too.

Located close to the San Francisco Ferry Building. Great location for walking along the shore and across the road from a stop for the tour bus. The hotel was clean and comfortable and had great staff. No bar as such, but they do have complimentary wine and beer tasting each evening at 5pm. Rooms were clean although a bit tight.... More

Every Kimpton stay is a dream come true. The service is impeccable, the staff are so incredibly friendly, the rooms are gorgeous and the beads are like heaven to sleep in. This is a great location, being next to the Ferry Building gives you so many options for shopping and dining. Highly recommend

After so many mediocre stays down in the south bay at glorified renovated motels, I was pleasantly reminded me of how great a job the Kimpton brand does, and how I wish there was one down around Mountain View/Sunnyvale. The Harbor Court was a great all around property. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly as is the Kimpton way. There... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
