Really well located nearby Union Square, you can reach easily all touristic location from there. The hotel is clean and nice, a little bit "oldie". It is also quiet even if the inside noise insulation looks not very efficient.

The Hotel is very centrally located on Geary St Union Square. The bus stops to Golden Gate Bridge and to Fishermans Wharf are close. The hotel has no views to speak of but it is a quiet, clean and 3 star place. HOWEVER, attached to it is the Daily Grill - a real sheltered workshop. The staff are process bound,... More

Perfect location, few meters from union square. The room was quite small and not super new, the moquette also with not a super pleasant smell. Price are very high vs what you get from the hotel, hall is very nice but rooms average. But overall in line with SF prices, with a good location.

The handlery was a lovely hotel to arrive to on our 1st stop in California. We were only there for 4 nights but the staff were welcoming and we had a nice gift pack and bottle of fizz waiting for us. It was clean, tidy & up to standard but it is extremely noisy and I mean extremely! We had... More

Hotel has great location just off Union Square. I asked for a quiet room and they did not disappoint. Staff was friendly and helpful. NIcely appointed room. Lights in bathroom were a little oddly located. Did not try the pool, but it looked inviting.

My wife and I had 4 nights here. Two different rooms - the first was a shocker. Hotel could not be in a better location. Our room rate included valet parking which was very handy for us. Warning if you are given a room facing the pool, one side of the pool is a thoroughfare and you will have people... More

Stayed here for 3 nights at start of our honeymoon. Hotel is in such a good location. Staff were so accommodating and upgraded us right away when found out it was our honeymoon. Even had bottle of champagne and a bag of treats for us in the room. Staff so friendly and helpful. Really recommend this hotel for a city... More

The only negative was the location of the premier rooms with regards to access, bit of a treck from main lobby . It didn't help that one of the only two lifts that served garage was out of order all four days of our stay . Everything else was ideal. No complaints

We stayed at this wonderful Hotel from 8 - 12 April 2015. After our long flight from Sydney we received such a warm welcome. Whilst it is a older style Hotel it lacked nothing. Location was perfect just a short walk to catch a cable car and plenty of shopping. Our stay included Breakfast, wow how good was that. Our... More

This hotel is old, but well cared for and updated. We stayed on the fourth floor and had an okay view of the buildings in the distance as well as some rooftops. There's a restaurant on the premises, which we didn't eat at because we stayed out in the city for the most part. Near plenty of shopping and food.... More
