We stay at the Handlery every time we come to San Francisco and have for the past 15 years. Just like coming home. no staff turnover. Rooms consistently clean and nice. Excellent place to stay! The staff is incredible.Love the park and stay package. No big surprise, when checking out, on parking garage fees. Daily grill - go to breakfast &... More

We stayed at this hotel on a girls trip to the city and we thought it was great! We were in the older part of the hotel, which was definitely dated, but the room was clean and the beds were comfortable so it was fine with us. We were in the city to see a show and it was close... More

My family stayed here for four days recently. At check-in we were asked about street rooms or quiter ones. We chose the street ones, yes they are a bit noisy sometimes but you are in the absolute best location in the city. The "noise" is part of the city. You are 30 seconds away from the tram and one minute... More

We choose this hotel, site unseen, because the price line said it was "similar" to a Comfort inn type hotel. They have two sides of the hotel the "Historic" or older and not upgraded side and the new side, supposedly you get to choose the side you want. However when we arrived, I asked if we could get a King... More

Good hotel, you can walk to anywhere from there. I got a quite room so I was able to have a good rest. No view from the room but just go outside and you have Union Square !!! The front office is helpful and courteous.

We stayed here as a family of 3 with teenage son. The room on the 7th floor was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Beds were very cosy. The only -ve here was the air con that failed to cool the room - I suspect that the hotel controls centrally and only reduces the temperature when you complain. We did in... More

I found the room here to be extremely small. Only one person could fit in the rest room at a time which made it challenging when traveling on business. Definitely not for a large family. Rooms have older decor as I was in the Historic building. Bed wasn't very comfortable and room overlooked a loud street. The Daily Grille restaurant... More

Hi, we stayed in room 247, the room was adequate and value for money but did back on to the area where air con units were situated which made it noisy, the windows were obscure. We did not ask to be moved as this was option we chose on quiet side of hotel, for a light sleeper not so good.... More

2 adults and one child shared a twin queen room in august. The room was very comfortable and it was on the poolside at pool level infact! We did not hear any street noise here but the aircon is noisy - we were aware of the issue and had earplugs which helped. The staff are very helpful and pleasant to... More

We stayed in the "historic" part of the hotel, and it certainly is showing it's age. The room was quite small (queen) but comfortable. We were quite close to the ice and vending machines and they were a little noisy during the night. There was an odour about the hotel (I think it is the air freshener they use) which... More
