Nice and big rooms, at least in the part of the hotel that was renovated. Close to the beach, free parking, close to the tramway. But : - There was nearly no breakfast (only coffee with some pastries without a table to sit. - The toilet was clogged when we arrived, and the guy at the lobby was reluctant to... More

About the best to be said about the Great Highway Inn is that it's right across the street from the beach in the Outer Sunset part of town. It's also located just below Golden Gate Park and north of the SF Zoo. Transportation to crosstown/downtown destinations on the MUNI is easy from the N train at Judah two blocks south.... More

I decided the day before to visit someone and called the hospital for hotels that were close, this one was the only one opened and found it on Expedia. It was rated 2 stars, it was 5.5 miles from UCSF and was easy to find. I paid $167 plus fees, so it was about $185. Next time I will go... More

In our recent stay for seven nights at The Great Highway Inn at 1234 The Great Highway in San Francisco, CA my wife and I would say that this hotel has none of the amenities expected in the most modest hotel or motel. For the price paid it is substantially lacking. The rooms were not clean, the outside walkway to... More

The room I got was in the half of the hotel that looks older. It was still nice inside aside from the lumpy bed. It is walking distance to the beach and a brewery. There's NO ice machine or vending machines, However, it DID have a refrigerator and ice tray as well as a microwave. I stayed there for a... More

The best thing about this hotel is the the view - right to sunset on the Pacific ocean, very close to Golden Bridge Park. Second thing was the price :) they do not tell this, but two bed room is actually an apartment, which was perfect for four of us. The worst thing was the breakfast, which was a joke.... More

These rooms aren't super cutesy, but I love the location of this hotel, It is across the street from the beach and also Golden Gate Park. Parking is free. It is two blocks from the N line and it is quiet. The rooms are spacioius and they have a refrigerator and microwave and they are reasonably priced. Free coffee and... More

Average rooms and a bit musty. No live insects seen but some were left squashed on the walls. Rooms are large with beds separated but spartan without simple amenities like a hotel directory, channel guide, or note pads. The restaurant is closed and at night there aren't local services within about 4 blocks even including a hotel soda machine. Some rooms... More

Stayed here cause it was cheap and on the beach. Location is right across from Ocean Beach. N tram into town takes about 30 minutes. Room was not ready at 4pm check-in time. Appearance is like something out of a gang war film. The outside of the building is decaying. However rooms inside are quite nice, large, good wifi, clean... More

We decided to spent a couple of days in San Francisco for vacation. A friend referred this motel for its price and location. Did not expect too much since this is only 2 stars motel. Free wifi and free parking is what we want. But we also got a nice room that's clean and big enough for 4 of us.... More
