The Grant Plaza really is incredible value in such an expensive city. Its located in Chinatown, which is a pretty safe part of town to walk around in. The hotel is located within walking distance of Union Square, the Cable Cars and the BART trains. The rooms are smallish, but they have everything you need, bed, sink, shower, toilet etc.... more

There were four of us traveling although the Grant couldn't give us adjoining rooms, our rooms were opposite each other on the second floor. We booked this hotel only because we had some business at the French consulate which was on the same block as the hotel and wanted to stay somewhere nearby.
