The hotel lobby is under renovation, but you really wouldn't notice it as the areas affected are fully blocked off. The hotel location simply cannot be beat. It is across the street from Starbucks and just a block away from Sears Fine Dining which is a good option for breakfast. A Trolley stop is 1 block away as is the... More

Loved being in Union Square! This hotel is in walking distance to Chinatown, union square, cable cars...everything. Cabs are right out front, staff is helpful and friendly. Hotel is newer, nice rooms, very clean, nice view of city. Restaurant was good. Overall excellent experience and would absolutely stay at the Grand Hyatt again!

I have stayed at this location many times while traveling for business in San Francisco. Great location in Union Square. Unbelievable views - on clear days - from the restaurant on the top floor. My favorite meal is their clam chowder with sourdough bread while over looking the city. They offer tasty peppermint salt water taffy at the front desk.... More

The hotel is in the middle of a huge renovation. Because of this, the lobby is small and lots of parts are walled off due to construction. But the rooms have been redone, and they are quite nice. The bathroom is incredibly well lit. The rooms are a bit small, but to be expected for a place right off Union... More

The hotel is very nice, excellently located in the most centered square of San Francisco, walking distance from chinatown and little Italy where night life is. Also it is in a very nice shopping area and with very useful bus stop close by. The only non-good thing is actually the smell. I don't know if it is due to the... More

Spent three nights there recently. Very well located hotel, near all important locations in San Francisco. Service was excellent and everything at reasonable prices. Staff was especially helpful whenever a special need arose. All around outstanding experience at reasonable prices.

We booked through Expedia and booked a 'King bed and bay view' room. At check in we were given a double room. I produced my booking receipt and was told that I was getting a king room with a 'magnificent bay view'. The bay view turned out to be a glimpse of the bay past a few buildings with the... More

We stayed 3 nights at Club Level. Checking in easy. The Manager Christopher could not have been more helpful over a booking mix up. Room ideal with great view. Location great for the Bay, shopping, restaurants, public transport and AT&T Park! All the staff we dealt with (cleaners, concierge etc) were helpful and David in the Club was first rate.... More

I recently spent four nights here for a conference. If I had the option, I would have given the hotel 4 1/2 stars. The property is in the heart of SF (not close to the water - you will need to take a trolley or cab unless you want a tough walk). The hotel is going through a pretty big... More

This is a newly renovated hotel, (the lobby is still being worked on) At first glance the new rooms are very modern and slick looking, but then it gets funky. The window shades are electrically powered, good luck finding the switch. The wireless service is very very slooow. So we opted for the wired, the Ethernet cable is not on... More
